Wonderful staff, great food and a comfy bed what more could you ask for

Good location. Difficult to get to our room as the place is a bit of a maze to arrive to our room, with steep, narrow stairways. Fairly small room also.

The White Hart is a true countryside gem, located in a quiet and peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful woodlands. It’s the perfect getaway from the chaos of the city, with a calm atmosphere and traditional charm that make the hotel feel both unique and romantic. As you drive into the car park, you’ll find a lovely pub and restaurant on the left-hand side, while the rooms are located just behind it. The building has retained the original character and interiors of a traditional 14th-century property, which adds so much charm to the experience. The rooms are cosy yet spacious, and we were lucky enough to have a small outdoor terrace, which really added extra value to our stay. Another highlight was the breakfast...absolutely 5/5 stars. The ingredients were high quality, everything was delicious, and the portions were generous. Best of all, it was included in the price! Overall, a wonderful stay. We can’t wait to come back.

Could do with the maintenance team having a quick go around some time soon just to make good on a few things

Great location, quirky old building with lots of space in the room. Very good attentive service received all staff during check in & whilst dining for my evening meal & breakfast. Food was fantastic.

There is a mold status in the room especially in her bathroom. Before I reviewed and escalate would the hotel like to comment . Both my partner have awful nasal and chest issues today

The room quality is good, the cleaning is appalling. The bed and bathroom were clean but they mop to the sides loading stains on all skirting boards and the fan in the bathroom had so much dust on it had never been cleaned! In arrival I was given the wrong room type which took a while to resolve but after that the room was comfortable and breakfast service was excellent. Only the cleaners letting this establishment down and it could be excellent if the details were addressed.

Amazing value for money! We had a beautiful and very spacious room with a little area outside for seating. Extremely clean. One of the nicest hotel rooms we’ve had. Staff were all lovely. Showed us to our room upon check in. Breakfast was also the best we’ve had. A full English along with a wide range of teas and coffees, juices, cereals and pastries included in the price. We’ve already booked our next stay and will also be back just for the breakfast alone.

We stayed in the Cocoa room, a room within the pub itself. Unfortunately we has a bad experience due to plumbing issues, the hot water was tepid at best. When we flagged this to the staff they were very apologetic and explained that they’d previously had problems with the hot water. We were meant to stay 2 nights but cut our stay short due to this problem. Staff were very understanding. Apart from this we had food at the pub which was delicious! And portion sizes were good! Our dog was very welcomed there too. Thanks to all the helpful, friendly staff 🙂

Clean, warm and quiet. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Room was clean and comfortable, had the added bonus of an outside patio area which was ideal for our dog. Due to the loss of the door key (months) the patio area needs some much needed tlc as key had only been located. The outside garden area also could do with some updating and just a general tidy. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was very good so ate there on both Evenings. Location was good as a 2min walk to bus stop then a 15min bus journey to Henley-on-Thames. As next to the main A road it can be busy and this cause traffic noise.

Nice room, separate from the pub. Room was tired and needed a more thorough clean-lots of rubbish under the bed and bedspread had some suspicious stains on it. Staff were really friendly and kind, breakfast was really nice but quite small! Lots of parking available!

Lovely olde worlde pub/hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.

Very good for a 2 night stay for a couple. Free parking and a good breakfast included. There was a bit of traffic noise with the windows open, but was dead quiet by the time we went to bed. Very friendly and attentive service
