I was vacationing here with my family. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were quite surprised to find that almost the entire hotel was on the second floor, while the first floor was used for businesses like cafes, restaurants, and shops. This made it difficult to find the hotel, even though we were using Google Maps for directions.
According to Google Maps, we were instead directed to a convenience store that coincidentally had the same name as our hotel. When I showed the Traveloka hotel voucher to the shopkeeper and asked for the location, she seemed confused and called someone. Due to my limited English skills, communication ended up being done via Google Translate. Without adequate explanation, we were instead taken to another location, further back in the hotel and relatively quiet.
We then checked in at the hotel, where the ground floor housed a clothing store. Shortly afterward, the shopkeeper sent me a WhatsApp message, saying that if a room at the hotel I was looking for became available, she would contact me again.
From this message, I learned that the hotel room we had originally booked had already been rented to another guest, so we were moved to an alternative hotel located further back. In fact, the hotel we originally booked was in a very strategic location, close to the complex entrance and busy areas like restaurants and shops.
Based on this experience, I felt disappointed because I felt the hotel was not transparent and professional in managing my room reservations.
