Really amazing stay. The building is lovely and beautifully decorated. We were fortunate enough to have been upgraded and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, very short walk to the train station and bus stop for the palaces. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The service really was above and beyond and we would definitely return here.

We stayed for 2 nights. There were 3 people in the room and it was very clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great. It was easy to walk to many of the sights we wanted to see and we felt very safe. We opted to have breakfast included, which was wonderful. It was a continental breakfast with fresh fruits, pastries, a coffee of your choice, juice, cheese, meat, eggs. The staff at the cafe were very friendly. I would highly recommend it. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff was so helpful and charming. The rooms were upgraded and more than what we needed. The bed was big and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I also really enjoyed Sintra and our stay was greatly improved by staying overnight. The location is also super convenient from the train station. Incommon restaurant was also close by and delicious.

We highly recommend this chalet. Perfect location, proximal to the center of town which was within walking distance to many areas of interest. The train & bus station very close to the Chalet. Our room was a good size with a very comfortable bed & updated bathroom. The staff was exceptionally helpful in making recommendations for dinner as well as arranging local tours. The breakfast was at a very popular cafe off site but within walking distance to the chalet. Full BF & willing to accommodate those with allergies. Will revisit again in the future!

A delightful find in Sintra. Ne need to stay at a big name hotel when this boutique place has EVERYTHING. We got the least expensive room since ours was a shot stay. We were assigned a charming room in the former wine cellar. No elevator and we were prepared to carry our suitcases downstairs but the staff insisted on doing it. Our room had a nice size bed which definitely filled the room but there was a little sitting area and a perfectly roomy bathroom with a walk in shower. The room was small but a small bottle of wine came with it. An honor bar provides snack and drinks. The area is charming and we would definitely go back.

What a great hotel and such pleasant staff. Our room was on the third floor down with an entrance to the garden. The location was great for strolling around the old town and easy to get an uber to the Pena Palace. The hotel does not have parking but there are parking spots just outside the hotel Also there are no elevators but the staff helped out by bringing our bags down 3 floors to our room. This hotel is on my list for a return visit.

If you’re visiting Sintra, stop searching and book Chalet Saudade immediately. This was easily one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. From the moment we arrived for our 7-night stay, Caterina and Filipa made us feel completely at home with their warmth, hospitality, and amazing recommendations. The entire staff was exceptional, but Caterina especially went above and beyond helping with reservations and local tips that made our trip even better. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and perfect after long days of sightseeing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and the beautiful garden area became one of our favorite evening spots to relax with wine and meet fellow travelers. The location is ideal — within walking distance of Sintra attractions, the train station, and several fantastic restaurants. And do not skip breakfast at Café Saudade. Calling it a continental breakfast is underselling it. The food was fresh, delicious, and incredibly generous. The coffee was excellent and the perfect way to start each day. What truly makes Chalet Saudade special is the atmosphere. It feels less like a hotel and more like a welcoming home base for exploring the magic of Sintra. Between the historic charm, beautiful grounds, perfect location, amazing food, and incredible staff, this is a place we will enthusiastically recommend to everyone.

The breakfast included is at a close restaurant and was very good. The only negative was that the restaurant was extremely crowded and it required us to wait to get our breakfast. The hotel room was very nicely decorated the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Two of the three staff members were very friendly and helpful. Their break area was nicely decked out and overlooking a greenery area that made for a relaxing afternoon.. the location was good, although quite a walk into the old town. But it is close to the bus stop. I would stay here again.

Our stay at Chalet Saundade was wonderful! The hotel is a boutique stay! Very stylish in the vintage Sintra fashion! Clean, in a perfect location with a delicious breakfast served across the street and up a few stairs! The only downside is there is no elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floors upstairs! So just be aware when you’re booking. But, on the flip side you can beat the location- close to the city center and train, bus depot and the hotel personal are so welcoming!! I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Perfect!!!
