We haven’t been in an HI hostel in a long time (in our 70s) but were very happy with our overnight stay in HI Aveiro. Staff were lovely, the room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. We walked to it from the bus station via the beautiful park. Not many eateries in the immediate neighbourhood (apart from a McDonalds almost opposite) but only 15 minutes on foot to the many restaurants/cafes in the town centre.

Bare minimum,noisy. Unkept. Room clan enough. Poor mattress

Great stay, def well come back

Like some of the reviews have already described this place..I really wondered what type of accommodation this is supposed to be, a school? A prison? A youth hostel? Definitely the strangest place I’ve stayed in and wished I’d read the reviews before booking, as I’d booked it in a rush. Stayed in 6bed female dorm, locked with a physical key rather than the normal electric which meant that I wasn’t “allowed” to lock it at night while I slept, which was scary as a solo female traveller bc anyone could walk in and do as they please. I stayed at the start of Jan = cold weather, when asked how my stay was I said it was freezing all night and barely slept, the answer “..well..” and a shrug :). I also woke up to a bug inside of my bed.

Great value for money. Breakfast was very good. Clean. Friendly.

Very clean and with so much potencial. It's a little abandoned though and it doesn't have a kitchen.

Etablissement tres vetuste lit qui bascule reparation de la baignoire j ai jamais vu ca. Des portes on entend tout petit dejeuner bof bof

Great hostel at great location. The room was exactly what we have been expecting even it exceeded our expectations. We choose the private room with own bathroom. Sheets were clean, bed comfortable, very warm blankets. Excelente breakfast.

Hostel très propre. Le parc et la vue sont exceptionnels. Le personnel très sympathique. Endroit très calme et reposant. Un très bon séjour et un très bon souvenir Tout est parfait! Moins:Beaucoup de Brésiliens qui n'inspiraient pas confiance !!!

Pousada da Juventude em Aveiro, aluguei um quarto privado com banheiro, predio precisando de reforma, choveu a noite e alagou o quarto 02, café da manhã fraco, meus PARABÉNS para o atendimento de MARGARIDA e TATIANE, NÃO RECOMENDO ESSA POUSADA.

El lugar nos pareció adecuado al precio que pagamos. Habitacion sencilla con baño privado. Nos ibamos pronto de Aveiro y tuvieron el detalle de prepararnos el desayuno muy muy temprano. El personal muy amable y predispuestos a ayudar. Tambien nos fijamos que alimentan gatitos callejeros y eso nos encantó.

Rita à l’accueil s’est très bien occupée de nous.

Vi har nu 4 gange sovet på hostels i Portugal og er særdeles tilfredse med standarden til det man betaler. Det ville dog være dejligt med nye senge.

L hotesse d accueil tres aimable et prevenante. Elle nous a conseillé pour des visites.

Hostel literalmente abandonado pelo poder público/ YHA !! Sem segurança ! Sem lockers/armários! Tudo cheira a mofo! Quartos super pequenos e SEM VENTILAÇÃO! SEM SEGURANÇA! Há outros na cidade que com certeza são melhores e devem ter lockers/armários e Segurança ! Sem cozinha/ sem manutenção!

Barato y funcional, las instalaciones son bastante viejas.
