The pub is fantastic, one of the best we visited in Dublin! The room was clean and very nice. The staff were very nice as well. I’m giving it 2/5 stars because we had no hot water (shower) for 3 days, and upon trying to get it resolved, nobody helped or did anything. Otherwise, it would have been a good stay.

Convenient to where I needed to be. Room was very small and no ventilation. Room not serviced apart from emptying dustbin.

If you're looking for a comfortable, conveniently located place to sleep and shower, The Ferryman fits the bill. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was amazing, and staying above a pub is an experience! For the record, it's probably not for everyone but we're easy-going travelers; not bothered by the noise of the street or pub and not needing any special services. We received fresh towels daily and there was some shower gel, but you'll need your own shampoo. There was a kettle and tea/coffee in the room but we found several great local coffee shops nearby. We had a great 5-night stay in Dublin.

Loved this place. HOWEVER, keep in mind that this is first and foremost, a PUB. The rooms are above a very lively and loud pub. So this was fun, except when we wanted to get some food rest at 11pm. The noise is unavoidable till about 1am, so make sure to bring ear plugs. Also, to Check-in, you must literally go to the bartender to get your keys etc. Overall, a great location with stunning view of the rivers, bridges, etc. Would stay here again, WITH EAR PLUGS

The property was within walking distance of all the major tourist areas. Only met property people on the day we areived and the day we left. Room was nice and clean. Room was serviced once for making beds over 4 days but bathroom was serviced every day for new towels. While this property is soundproof from the pub, it is very noisey when 100 pub patrons are enjoying themselves outside and the windows are all open on the second floor pub lounge.

Very good location, historical building, and a popular pub down stairs, good or bad. However, almost no services... No bottle water in room, if one needs drinking water, has to buy from the pub downstair, costing 3.25Euro a small bottle. Also no one to clean your room other than just providing clean towels and toilet papers. In addition, it is very difficult to take shower, bad design and constructed. Dublin is a very lovely city, friendly, vibrate, can drink almost anywhere. We loved our walking tour in the city, fantastic!

We had so much fun staying here! It’s an authentic Irish pub so prepare for some noise and there’s no AC so it’s pretty warm in summer. The staff in the pub were so lovely. Great area to be in, lots close by. Dublin is very walkable and bikeable.

It is a very small property but they made us feel very welcome. The pub staff went out of their way to make sure we knew where things were and how they worked. The room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.

No complaints as such - clean comfortable albeit basic accommodation a little on the pricey side. When I booked, the Expedia side stated that breakfast was inclusive. Please be aware, this establishment does not offer breakfast at all.

On an earlier visit to Dublin, my friends and I had discovered The Ferryman and made it our “local” during our time in the city. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, mainly locals, close to Avida Stadium and across the Liffey from the convention center. Just an unpretentious Irish pub. When we decided to return with my 16 year old son, I instantly booked here, as the price was great and I had great memories. As a place to stay, it works great. Lots of carousing at night downstairs and there is quite a walk to the sights in town, but walking is part of the experience (and we got to walk off a lot of food!). Jill and the staff were very friendly, tea kettle in room was always ready to go. Room Is very basic but a true pub staying experience. If you are okay with walking a bit to get to Temple Bar or O’Connell Street, I cannot recommend The Ferryman highly enough!

Stayed 1 night in the ferryman as we were going to a show in the bord gais theatre. Perfect location, right around the corner from the venue. Room was clean with a nice view. The pub itself is class. Great atmosphere.

The hotel is slightly outside the city center, but it is close to airport bus routes and even the Hop-On Hop-Off bus for sightseeing. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable, and the vibrant and lively bar downstairs could not be heard from my room (which was on the lowest level of guest rooms).

This is very basic accommodation over a very famous and well run traditional pub. The location is perfect, near the 3 arena, National Conference Centre and Silicon Docks. It is good value but for a few dollars more you can get a lot more comfort. I did not have the breakfast but I can guess that it will be good. Dublin is expensive and if you don't need to be pampered, this is a good option.

This is actually a pub that has taken the upstairs space and converted it into a small hotel. The rooms are very small but overall it's not bad for the money. Issues: several floors and no elevator, breakfast starts way too late (7:30 and 8:00 on weekends). The shower is ridiculously small even by European standards and very hard to use. There is no shelf, ledge, or amenity tray, which could be easily provided, so you have to stand in the shower, bath yourself, and also hold soap, shampoo, razor, etc. If you try to put these items on floor of the shower, you have to bend over and pick them up repeatedly. Horizontally challenged and some who are not, like me, will find it almost impossible. Management: Please spend a few euros and add one of these things that hangs from the shower head that you can put your stuff in. Also, if you have a problem at night, you'd have to go down to the pub and that would be difficult as there might 100 people in that small room. On the plus side: there are plenty of electrical outlets, normally a problem even in five-star hotels. Also, the location is great. You're just a few minutes from the airport bus stop. The wi-fi is very fast. The breakfast is a traditional Irish breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, blood sausage, etc.) I wouldn't stay more than a few days, but you can tolerate it for its advantages..
