Awesome hotel with a hot tub on the roof. Staff very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at By the Sea Hotel in Nazaré. The room location was the best in the hotel, with windows overlooking the beach. The staff was helpful, polite, and friendly. We had a great visit to Nazaré in part because we had such a great room at By the Sea Hotel.

Great location, across the street from the beach, close to many restaurants and the funicular. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi!

Very nice room with a great view.

Property was great, however we stayed inside all afternoon due to a huge thunderstorm like I’ve never seen before! Afterwards we walked 5 minutes to funicular to see the surfer museum (excellent) and endearing old town at the top. The restaurant had all fresh seafood with generous pours of wine!

Beautiful view. Getting there was a nightmare because the roads were blocked and it took hours to have the police finally let us in with our luggage. Parking was blocks away. We would highly recommend the paid parking garage, it was still a hike but at least we felt the car was safe, and only 15 EUR a day. Breakfast was always the same, and a walk across the plaza to get to - but it was good.

Quaint beach front property.

The room was lovely overlooking the sea. We were upgraded to a sea view which was very nice except the noise from the street made it impossible to sleep at the restaurants below. The party went on until around 5 am with drunk people screaming through the night. It was awful and we were there for one rainy night. I wish we hadn't had the upgrade and had a more peaceful sleep. It was also tricky to find parking and I had to wake up to move the car which was quite a walk away.

This hotel is 1 minute walking distance to the Nazare beach. The location cannot be better. The narrow street made loading/unloading luggage a bit challenging, but it is Nazare in general.

A very well situated place, although parking proved a task and being in an old building meant no elevator. Otherwise we would recommend without hesitation.

Safe, well maintained, clean place to stay for a short time. Friendly staff. Next to shops and restaurants, 1 minute walk to the beach.

Fabulous location although it was very noisy. The staff were kind. The rooms are VERY small. We had to open our suitcase on our bed. The breakfast was tasty. We would recommend this hotel for the location.

This was a great hotel. We lived everything about it. The room was so cute and little balcony we sat out and could see the ocean. Awesome places to eat and walk to activities. We would stay again

Best location in Nazare! Basically on the beach. Just streets away from the tram that takes you up to the lighthouse, to see the big waves. Close to a laundromat. Short walk to the bus station too. Breakfast was included and served at a great little cafe across the street. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Something for everyone. Our room was nice and bright. Comfortable bed and bedding! Definitely recommend.
