We really like our stay.

Lovely staff and very clean. Bar area was good with a pool table for those interested and an outgoing court area. Location to walk into centre took about 15min which was ok for us. However it is by a roundabout which was busy from 0600 so was a bit noisy in the early morning. Decent breakfast although limited to bacon and eggs if you wanted a hot meal. Overall it was a good choice for us.

The hotel is as situated approximately 15 minute walk from the downtown tourist area. Road access to the hotel was easy when entering the town. There were large grocery stores, fast food and gas easily available around the hotel.

Room wasn’t ready on time but it was clean and service was awesome

Lovely man on reception. He was very helpful and smiley. The breakfast was excellent, everything to our liking. The room was very clean and comfortable. Downside was we could hear road traffic noise. I went were staying here again we would request a room on the back of the hotel and not the first floor. There is a good bar in the hotel with reasonable prices

Simple, clean, affordable

Hotel Melius has nice and comfortable rooms in a property that’s very close to the historic downtown. They have wines from local wineries in the front desk which was a nice surprise. Service from the staff was superior.

Staff were friendly and helpful. They were able to put us into a slightly better room further from the street. Street facing rooms were much noisier.

Have stayed before and for us its the perfect location with easy access to everything. Great bar and bar snacks. Good breakfast (typical Portuguese) No swimming pool but that really isnt a problem for us. Rooms decent size but no kettle etc but as there are cafés every few metres we dont feel its a problem.

a beautiful hotel - staff were lovely - very clean - on the outskirts of a lovely historic town - love that you can play tennis and snooker in the evening also have your snacks and a few drinks - we had a great time in Hotel Melius.

We liked everything. Service excellent. Ver clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast, very fresh. Will definitely stay there again.

We were checked in by a very friendly and efficient young lady. The outside if the hotel was clean, however, building itself needs painting. The only other suggestion I have, would be tp update bed covering. Updating the red velvet pillows and worn bed cover would definitely add to the room and comfort.

hotel is located on the edge of Beja and very close to motorway. its quet at night, no problem to sleep! Rooms are big and with balcony. Water presure in shower is very poor. Breakfast is very basic but tasty! If you want to stay for one night just to make a short break in your journey this hotel is OK for that. Staff is very friendly and well english spoken.

For us this hotel was in the right location, just outside the city and as we were driving through it was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and plenty of parking outside the hotel.

This hotel was an average stay all around - it served an adequate purpose for an overnight stop. The hotel staff was not warm and fuzzy but responded when we requested 1:00AM intervention in the very noisy room next to ours. The room was clean but small, and the parking was easily accessible in front of the reception doors.

Great location if your driving just off roundabout and highway , short walk into historic center. However noise from highway annoying even with earplugs . Breakfast was good. Room was clean and functional. Reception at front desk was consistently surly, Not welcoming what so ever ! The breakfast personnel and cleaning staff were Pleasant .

The hotel was ideal for us as we were stopping over in Beja for just one night. It was easy to find as we arrived by car and Hotel Melius is on the outskirts of the city. It is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the old centre. The room was very clean, modern with black out shutters to the large balcony, a comfortable bed and powerful over bath shower. The breakfast was the standard help yourself buffet which was fine. In our experience, Portuguese hotel coffee is not very good or warm and if you want better quality you have to ask for it and pay extra. All in all, our overnight stay was fine and very good value for money.

Just an overnight stop but could have stayed longer. An interesting old city within a short walk from the hotel with reasonable cafes and restaraunts. Worth going off the normal tourist route to see.
