I liked that it was a family business and they really cared about the service they delivered. The dinners were traditional fish based dishes with delish sauces. They totally respected our privacy, but were prepared to join us for a game. The boat trip was arranged to best suit the weather and we were given a very safe and comfortable, smooth trip. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the pillows were a little thinner than what I generally use.

Staying at Bunica Maria was a really nice experience. The atmosphere is very friendly, and it is a great place to meet people and to learn more about the region and its customs. The fish soup was amazing!

Right next to the Danube Delta, staying at this hotel was the highlight of my trip to Romania. Highly recommended to anyone traveling in the area.
