The family who run this very sweet hotel are kind, accommodating, and offer most everything you could want. I felt safe and I loved the balcony off of my room where I got to watch the full moon. It was so easy to get to. All the bus/metro lines stop right in front or very close by - There are also city bike rentals you can get to bike all over Brussels and you can easily either get to the city center or to the most impressive forest. They also have a delicious restaurant so if you are hungry morning, noon or night there is delicious food to satisfy any Food cravings.

Good place to stay if you want to be a bit outside the city and yet get to places quickly using the tram.

Very nice and convenient place for a visiting friend to stay close to my home. The area is quiet and green - very different from the 'typical' Brussels image - but it only takes 20 - 30 minutes to go downtown Brussels by bus or subway. The hotel is simple but recently renovated with clean and spacious rooms.

The room I stayed has a bad smell. The bed sheets seems to be old and smelly. Check-in was confusing. The reservation was made for two days but in the reception book they have only one. It took time to clarify. The price was too high for the quality of the hotel.

It’s the second time I’ve stayed here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is ok, bathroom is spotless. Wi-Fi works! Easy walk to get to the meeting I have to get to, so we’ll worth the money.

L'Auberge du Souverain is a nice hotel overlooking a small lake. it is on the outskirts of Brussels, but fairly close to the end of Metro Line 5. Comfortable hotel, friendly staff.

The hotel is clean and in a quiet area. Service is quick and personal. The rooms are small without begin cramped. The bed is comfortable and the shower very pleasant.

The restaurant does make very good Indian food for an average 15 euros a dish, and has awards for this. The separate hotel reception is at the back right side of this building. The brochure I picked up from reception quoted Belgium Franks, and talked about the luxurious furnishings, which were now therefor pre 2002. A list of do nots greets you in the room, so do not plan to cook in the room or do laundry, which were not on my list anyway. Large room with bath/shower. Well served for transport, with tram and bus just outside. A pleasant local area. Parking in street until 1000am. Helpful staff.

I was given for the first night a tiny room in the attics. It would have been ok, but the next morning I felt toilet odour coming from the aeration louver. They changed my room, and chose one in the old part of the hotel with windows toward back garden. There was a big construction across the street and the noise was bothering me, otherwise the hotel is located in a quite quiet place. The hotel looks quite oldish. Elevators are really old and only few rooms are up to the three stars standard. The personnel is pretty nice and tries to be as helpful as possible. But the owner should definitely invest some money in renovating properly.

Spent a comfortable night. No complaints. However, in the morning I was able to get only warm water in the toilet sink and only cold water in the shower. Crossed pipes?

The hotel was ok, but room Number 45, they seriously need to fix the shower! First only ice cold water, then maybe 5sec ok Temperature, then burning hot. Asked them to fix it but nothing happened. Breakfast pretty basic, but for the price of 10€ the quality-price ratio was ok. They make you an omelette if you want it, did not try. Coffee 2/5 stars
