Comfy beds and nicely renovated rooms. Suited us perfectly for our quick stopover in Nanaimo. Surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough however.

I have stayed at the Harbour Light Motel for probably 10 years now, whenever I am in Nanaimo. A basic motel room, clean. Lovely staff.

This is a great motel. Everything is clean and you can see that they stay on top of their maintenance. Yes, the front of the hotel does border a busy road and I can't comment on the noise level in the rooms that look out on to the road, but we had a room at the back and we had a great night's sleep. The hotel staff are also friendly and accommodating.

It was my 2nd time staying at Harbour Light Motel. The owner and staff were always friendly and helpful. Overall clean renovated room. Convenient location not far from downtown. I definitely will stay here again when I come to Nanaimo next time.

Wifi worked well. Parking was easy though they didnt ask license plate number. The door to the room is not well sealed. I found a damned near unkillable bug in the bathroom. Coffee was good. Check in was fast.

Property is located right off the highway so it is a busy spot. Close the stores and groceries. Beds weren't the most comfortable but slept on worse. The man who checked me in was kind enough to move me to a room that would be quiet as I was going to be up very early for the ferry.

The staff is very friendly & fulfill any requests made. Parking is free & readily available. The motel is very close to downtown. Rooms are always clean & ready on time. We have stayed there dozens of times & we always have good sleeps on comfortable beds. We highly recommend the Harbour Light motel to travelers! Ed& Marilyn Bell

Clean room lots of parking easy stay

Noisy location. Price was right but would not return

The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the bedding good quality. With this location and price point, obviously it's not the Hilton. But it's a solid, family run business that offers a good place to sleep. Parking is in a u shape around the front of the hotel. Our room was in the back, so there was a bit of a hike to move stuff into and out of the room. If you're on the upper floor as far as I can tell there's no alternative to taking things up and down the uncovered outdoor stairs, so be prepared for that. If you have mobility issues I would request a first floor room. The front rooms on the first floor are the most convenient, but also the most exposed to traffic noise. Figure out your priority, and make your requests accordingly.
