Overall, we had a very good stay here. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a beautiful ocean view. Housekeeping was prompt and responsive whenever we needed anything, and the front desk staff were all friendly and welcoming — really appreciated that.
A few downsides: the on-site restaurant had limited options, opened relatively late, and the food selection was small with just average taste and value for money. There aren’t many other dining choices nearby either, so you’ll need to drive a fair distance for alternatives.
As for entertainment, the facilities were quite basic — the "movie room," board games area, and indoor swimming pool felt a bit underwhelming. While we understand that most guests likely come for the beach and surrounding nature, it would be nice if the indoor amenities could be made a bit more engaging, especially since they’re already part of the offering.
That said, we would still recommend this resort. It's a great stopover for anyone exploring the southern coast of Halifax — including the many scenic beaches, coastal parks, and charming small towns along the way.
