We had a horrible stay because my wife broke her foot at the indoor pool. The handrail into the pool was broken, but not visibly. It swung out when she gripped it. She fell badly and banged her foot on the concrete steps into the pool. I wrote to management, told the front desk and called several days later. Each time i reached out i was told management would be in touch. That was several weeks ago and we haven't heard a word. We are not looking for anything other than an acknowledgement and an apology. I will make sure i tell everyonecwho asks Not to stay at the Quarterdeck. Their management is rude and insensitive. We will never go near the place again.

A fun and beautiful vacation spot

Liked the beautiful beach. Didn’t like that the resort felt disconnected everything was separate- restaurant, lobby, recreation centre and pool were all in separate buildings

There was an issue when we arrived. The Manager was informed and she immediately took action and more than satisfactorily addressed the our concern.

Overall, we had a very good stay here. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a beautiful ocean view. Housekeeping was prompt and responsive whenever we needed anything, and the front desk staff were all friendly and welcoming — really appreciated that. A few downsides: the on-site restaurant had limited options, opened relatively late, and the food selection was small with just average taste and value for money. There aren’t many other dining choices nearby either, so you’ll need to drive a fair distance for alternatives. As for entertainment, the facilities were quite basic — the "movie room," board games area, and indoor swimming pool felt a bit underwhelming. While we understand that most guests likely come for the beach and surrounding nature, it would be nice if the indoor amenities could be made a bit more engaging, especially since they’re already part of the offering. That said, we would still recommend this resort. It's a great stopover for anyone exploring the southern coast of Halifax — including the many scenic beaches, coastal parks, and charming small towns along the way.

we used the indoor pool area and the support railing was loose and not safe, one of our party had a slip as entering the pool, The deck around the pool area is very slippery when wet

Great location and amazing facilities, my family and I explored nearby Summerville Beach (direct across the road) as well as the restaurant with amazing ocean front views. The movie theatre was a big plus for my kids.

way overpriced , overpriced food for average quality, my phone kept ringing from the main switchboard when someone called in to speak to the restaurant. you have to walk on the highway to get from the room to the restaurant in the dark. it was raining and someone could easily get run over by a car.
