I had high expectations having read the positive reviews. I have spent a week traveling in the Maritimes & stayed at lovely hotels in the same price range. This motel was a disappointment. I just swam at beautiful Providence Bay with its gorgeous sand beach. When I arrived the owner suggested I also go to another spot on Lake Manitou for swimming. Why I did that who knows. After a long 30 min drive on a bad road Green Bay Park was a pocket park with a mud beach & maybe 10 ft in all. First disappointment. I arrived back to motel to shower & all I got was a trickle of either very hot or very cold water. I adjusted the shower head many times. Nothing. The old AC was extremely loud all night long. The owner played loud voice messages on speaker phone next to my room in the afternoon. I heard people’s private information she played loudly. Also the cleaning fluid smell was so strong it made my eyes water. I had to spray my perfume everywhere just to breathe. Finally the in room coffee was tasteless. So my overall experience was poor. I left early in the morning just to escape. I would not recommend the motel.

Clean, comfortable beds, excellent selection of pillows. What more can you ask for?

We enjoyed everything about this property. Clean, comfortable and cool on one incredibly hot day and night. Great breakfast place close by. Highly recommended!

Small motel but had everything we needed. Very quiet location. Friendly , helpful owners.

They took my money but didn’t open up once I got there. There was a direct phone number to the inn keeper but did not answer.

When I asked the owner to recommend things to see on Manitoulin Island she replied that she was not the tourist board, just the inn's owner. She had a map if the island but only a 2024 guide, I found a 2025 guide and helpful persons at the nearby Shell station.

Friendly owners/staff. Room was clean and up to date. The closest restaurants are in Little Current, but there’s a Freshmart grocery store within a 10 minute walk/few minutes by car.

The owners were super friendly. The room was very clean. Only it had a very strong pinesol cleanser like smell. I do recommend it though

Lovely property but a little chilly in a cold winter.

Very clean and cozy room with warm heat. Lots of hot water in shower, no tub to step into. Owner operators care for the place well and they are friendly folks
