Everything was great: staff, view, sauna, cleanness, service were wonderful

The location is so convenient. Literally steps to the train station and the gondola. The staff was so friendly and helpful with hiking and dining recs. We had a corner room and it was a good size. Unfortunately it was two twin beds pushed together which is really just awful and uncomfortable. It was hot (90’s) while we were there. I couldn’t wait to open windows and get a cross breeze at night. What we didn’t know ahead of time is that the really beautiful, outdoor bar/restaurant is a big party spot. One night there was live music until 10:00pm, another night there was a party, and the third night just a huge crowd. It stayed open until 11:00 pm all nights. Our room (the front of the hotel with beautiful views) overlooked the bar. It was so loud that we could not leave the windows open. We had big hikes planned every day and wanted to get a good nights sleep and get up early. It’s a tough call-great room, gorgeous views, delicious breakfast but not relaxing.

The writing on the mirror was so cute as well as the bathrobe and chocolate!

cozy area, the hotel is clean and tidy, breakfast is good, just the bathroom is a little bit small compared with the room, a big trumps up of having lots of hangers for clothing

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We mainly wanted to explore Mount Titlis and this hotel is a 10 minute walk from there. The hotel has really beautiful views of the mountains. The restaurant and breakfast they have was also quite good! The hotel also has a lot of restaurants and bars around. The are also plenty of shops around. Caroline helped us out a lot during our stay and if it wasn’t for her, we would have a much more difficult time during our stay!

This place is just far than amazing, is 1min walking from the train station and they are all great staff. The attention was perfect and they were so considerate with our doubts, food is amazing and they even plan quiz nights, activities, etc. Would have loved to stay longer!!

We had a wonderful time here. The staff went above and beyond. They were all very friendly. The breakfast was great. There is a path right behind the Inn that goes to the mountain. A short walk away. The train station is right across the street, however we never heard anything. We can’t say enough good things about this place, its staff, and its location.

Hotel is right next to the train station and centrally located between town and the Titlis lift. The included breakfast was a great value add. Nice variety. Dinner was good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. Room was appropriate and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Everything about this place was great. The location was within walking distance of the train station and the Titlis cable car. The room was clean. The views were unmatched. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

Very small room , no space for suitcases. I am 5 feet 6 inch skinny person . I was cramped in shower . Not sure how anyone with little more height and width can fit in shower. Breakfast was ok. Nobody bother to even greet us . Only reception girl was nice . She said she was American . Not sure Swiss people are racist or rude , zero customer service. Location was pretty close to train station which was good. No elevator so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs

Excellent place

The weather was appalling which wasn’t your fault. The Ski Lodge is a fun place to stay, staff are friendly, rooms comfortable and food was good.

Receptionist Grazia was amazing, welcoming us and providing us with good hiking suggestions. The room was very, very tiny though and we were just happy we weren't there much and that we did not have all our mountain sports gear with us. Price/value ratio very disappointing in that sense. The condition of the room, shower, building etc is not very good, needs some upkeep, renovation. Breakfast was good and location next to station and close to city center was also good.

Everyone at the Ski Lodge was very welcoming, helpful, and nice. The room was cute and sufficient for the two of us. They provided us with a great free buffet breakfast. Only compliant is in regard to Engelberg and not the hotel-- the area is very pricey (restaurants and shops).

Upon arriving at the Engelberg Train Station the hotel is within view and ideally located on the one edge of town, close to Mount Titlis. Upon check-in, my room was upgraded free of charge and I was more than pleased with the room size, cleanliness, and amenities. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with a nice bar for after a day on the slopes and the food was good as well. A hearty breakfast was included and I enjoyed it very much. There are shuttle buses which transport travelers from the town to the mountain but I didn't need to use the buses as the hotel was only about 1/4 mile from the mountain lifts and backs up to a nice walking/bike path which goes direct to the mountain. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed chatting with them. Checkout was a smooth process and I was even able to make arrangements for a later checkout since the room was not needed for the rest of the day. I was very happy with my stay, and would certainly go back the next time I'm in Engelberg.

We've been in Europe over the past 3 weeks, and have stayed at numerous hotels but none can compete with the quality, convenience and experience at Ski Lodge, Engelberg. What made the stay for us was the wonderful hospitality from Lina, from the minute we checked in she was helpful, generous and so accomodating. She organised a private breakfast room for us the next morning before our day trip to Mt Titlis, in a seperate room so that we would not be bothered by a large group who were also due for an early breakfast. The breakfast spread was amazing, and the views from our room...breathtaking!! The room itself was well laid out, with plenty of space and clean amenities and well appointed. We only stayed one night, and even after check out - Lina was kind enough to let us store our luggage during our trip to Mt Titlis, and even let us come back to the hotel afterward to recharge our cameras and iPad, and she even printed out our train confirmations for us. All these little things meant the world to us, and we are still so grateful. My partner proposed to me that afternoon on Mt Titlis, so we will definitely be back to Engelberg, and to the Ski Lodge to relive the memories. Thanks again for such a memorable stay :)
