We had an excellent stay in this B&B. The location is amazing in the middle of the nature, very quiet. The breakfast is great and the recommendation for local tour are very helpful. In addition it is possible to order diner from the city that will be served in their dining room. It was extremely convenient.

Gorgeous finca with individual bungalows for each group. The family that runs this gem, built it from the ground up and everything is just divine. It was a fabulous stay

Absolutely everything! Mei Tai is an incredible gem in Costa Rica that should be visited by all tourists who are caring and thoughtful enough to recognize what Costa Rica is all about. Cecile and her family go out of their way to make your experience incredibly comfortable and relaxing. She takes the time from the moment you drive onto the property to personalize your stay. The piece of advice we have is listen to absolutely everything that she says. Bijauga is relatively untouched by tourists compared to some of the major attractions in Costa Rica and we hope it stays that way. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay with you! PS – try the orange bananas. They will rock your world.

When traveling through Costa Rica, everyone should take the opportunity to stay at a finca (farm). Finca Mei Tai is perfect - grounds and views are beautiful! With just 3 rooms, you feel like an honored guest of Eric & Cecile’s. The location is close to Bijagua so you have great access to the restaurants and Rio Celeste. In addition, we had the cottage with the private outdoor lounge area with stereo. It is a great touch which my teenage daughters loved! The breakfast was an absolute delight. Fruit, eggs, fresh bread, local jams, cold cuts, juice, hot chocolate, coffee, tea even kid’s cereal if your kids are craving it. So happy that we stayed here.

The B&B was located on a scenic and spacious property. The owners were extremely nice, catering and took time to give the history of the property and the region. Finally the guest room was large, clean and had everyone you could desire for a comfortable stay. I will recommend this property to friends and family who plan on staying in the area and we will be back ourselves as well.

My girlfriend and I sincerely enjoyed our 1 night stay at Finca Mei Tai. Eric and Cecile were the most genuinely friendly hosts we have met in Costa Rica have a very interesting life story (and that is saying something!). Their finca is on a beautiful piece of land set in the mountains, which we were encouraged to enjoy on a short hike through the cacao plantations after a delicious complimentary breakfast made by Eric and Cecile themselves. The room was uniquely decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for access to the Tenorio Volcano/Rio Celeste hike, and also great if your looking for a longer stay of the beaten path!

We stayed here 3 nights during our vacation to Costa Rica. It was very nice with a comfortable room and great breakfast. The owners took a personal interest in us to help us find activities we would enjoy while we were spending some of our vacation time in their beautiful part of Costa Rica.

one of a kind experience in the hills of Bijagua. Great concept, and a neat trail built by the owners to see the surrounding areas. 10/10

Quiet and peaceful property, set right against the mountains, We saw several toucans on the property and on the road to the property. Close to Bijagua, yet far enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, only a mile or so off of highway 6, the main road. Owners are wonderful and friendly, serve a very good breakfast and very informative of the area. There is no AC, but the breeze made it very comfortable, room had good screened windows and was immaculately clean. Bijagua was our favorite town in Costa Rica and will return as soon as we can.

This is a total gem of a place to stay. The rooms are located on a hundred acre farm that is surrounded by lushly forested mountains. The property was designed by Eric the owner and completed with modern materials. From the landscaping to the pools there is a well thought out plan. The rooms are tastefuly decorated with hardwood floors and a comfortable bed with high quality linens colored superbly. Large bathroom with walk-in shower and a rain head! Eric and Celilia are the most consummate hosts who want nothing more than for you to be comfortable and relax in their wonderful retreat! Breakfast was enjoyable on a covered patio overlooking the property. Celilia makes wonderful homemade bread for breakfast which is a work of art! Wonderful coffee and fresh juices coupled with eggs and all the trimmings to round out the meal! Would I return? Absolutely and stay longer in this peaceful haven.

We had a wonderful stay at Finca Mei Tai. Eric & Cécile were great hosts. We had some delay in getting to the Finca and already then Cécile was super helpful in giving guidance from across the country in helping us get to where we needed to be. Once we arrived we discovered we had booked a stay in paradise. The Finca is literally bordering a large piece of jungle, with loads of wildlife. The setting is serene and calm. The room is spacious and beautiful. It felt like a private bungalow. My girlfriend and I loved it. Breakfast on the main deck was amazing, next to hummingbirds and different ponds, overlooking the jungle. Cécile shared a lot stories of the family's great adventures. It was food for thoughts that will probably linger on for quite some time. We wished we had booked an extra night here.

Eric and Cecile have an amazing property and they go out of their way to be excellent hosts. My wife and I had a great time exploring the hiking trails on their finca. The breakfasts they provided for us were delicious, it was a treat to sit and take our time enjoying them. They also provided answers to many of our questions about the area, with suggestions of activities to try. They are a very interesting couple, we enjoyed our conversations with them and the only bad part was when we had to leave! We highly recommend staying here at least a couple nights, longer if possible!

We are a family of four, and we were searching for something special during a trip to Costa Rica. Mind you, Costa Rica is very special all by itself, but Finca Mei Tai was an absolute highlight during our 3 week tour of Costa Rica. If you care about nature and appreciate the aesthetic of brilliant engineering and smart use of space and terrain, you will LOVE Finca Mei Tai. It is not on the main drag of any town, so you have to have a little sense of adventure - I guarantee you will think you are a bit lost as you make your way there, but that makes it all the more special. As you come along the long driveway curving around a beautiful pond with a majestic tree (that has to be at least 150 feet high) overlooking it, you will KNOW that you are in a special place. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and spotless. The balcony/terrace of the main house where you have breakfast (next to an infinity type pool) is worth the stay all by itself - and I have not even started on the breakfast itself! You have a view of the rolling extended yard, where flowers attract dozens of hummingbirds and butterflies of all kinds. The breakfast was simply the best we had during 3 weeks in Costa Rica, period. This piece of paradise is possible b/c of the amazing family that has lovingly created this oasis - REAL people with spectacular spirit and a commitment to making an ideal place of peace, rest and relaxation. We did NOT want to leave, Finca Mei Tai is simply magical.
