Princesa de la Luna Ecolodge surpassed our expectations. Don William picked us up at the airport on time and drove us the two hours to the ecolodge. We stopped along the way. He and his wife are the nicest people I have ever met. They were kind and attentive to our needs at all times. The hotel feels like we are in the middle of the jungle with the most amazing views of the surroundings and we also were able to see the Arenal Volcano from our balcony. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, tropical and on time.

We thought the property was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The dogs and cats were super nice and loving as well. The ambience was truly wonderful. It was a bit difficult to find staff at times and we never found the pool- but we were gone during the day and the darkness sets in around 6 pm. Overall it was a very cool place to stay and everyone was very friendly.

Good location with trails and rainforest however this is basically a 1-2 star hotel. They don't clean your room or surroundings once you check in, there is a limit on number of towels and it's far from the town.

This was a horrible hotel to stay with a family which had leaking restrooms and the place had minimal lights and lots and lots of bugs and insects. We ended up sleeping in the car

While the room was quite spartan, the grounds are beautiful, as is the large deck with a spectacular view of the volcano, Arenal. The staff, especially Anderson and William, were warm, friendly, immediately responsive. Communal meals were delicious and a fun way to commune with fellow travelers. The only disappointment was the distance from the Arenal national park- a good 40 to 45 minute drive from the resort.

Property is stunning with trails and waterfall, pools and mud bath. Staff is exceptional (esp Anderson). Love the dogs, too (missing you, Princess)!!! Offers breakfast and lunch and there's a nice restaurant only a few steps away (2 for cocktails) Might be best suited for guests younger than I (70 ), but staff was so helpful. This place is absolutely beautiful!

Our most disappointing stay in a long time. We were up the hill with our own unit but a main light was missing in the big room, wooden shutters with no screens in bedrooms. H ad to ask owner to come show us how to turn on stove. The pluses - great balcony view, dinner was excellent, breakfast overpriced so we only ate it once. They said 2 swimming pools - 1 was empty and the other had tadpoles. We had roosters under the house that got us stayed early.

The Princessa de Luna lodge is an accommodation that we cannot recommend at the price we paid for it. Furthermore, we found the description on Expedia to be misleading. The property description says it is located in a suburban, mountainous area. Be aware that the road leading up to the property is mostly gravel with many potholes (especially important at night). We rented a 2WD SUV and had substantial trouble driving up to the property and finding a place to park. There was not much around the property itself (the restaurant across the street was closed during our time there). The property does not have a front desk, so be prepared to contact the management prior to arrival for check in. Dinner and breakfast are served on the property but must be arranged beforehand. There is not a restaurant on the property beyond this. We were told that dinner would be $7/person but were charged $15/person at checkout. While the food was good, we did not appreciate being misinformed about the price. The rooms themselves contained just two beds and a fan. The bedsheets did not appear washed when we arrived, and there was no shampoo in the bathroom. The door to the room contains enough gaps to allow lizards/insects to enter freely (although if you are staying at an eco-lodge, perhaps you won't mind this). Other amenities were not found to be as advertised. The pool was not usable (debris) We found the lodge to be expensive for the amenities (we paid > $400 for 3 nights; it is lower now).

We had a great stay here in the rainforest. We loved the open communal places to relax and look out on the forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! The setting is out of this world, you are basically surrounded by a tropical forest. The rooms are plain but clean, but the ambience has exceeded our expectations! The staff are friendly and the service superb. Couldn't have found a better place to stay. If you stay there, make sure to do the Adventure Tour, my teenager rated it as one of the best experiences in La Fortuna!

The lodge was super clean. It was perfect for a nice mtn get-away. I stayed there with four women total and there was so much space the deck was beautiful recommend you take a hammock and spend tine out there. Some things to know before you go though. There are no screens or curtains on the bedroom windows so I had a hard time sleeping one night worried becuse anyone could put there hand thru. But bugs were not an issue surprisingly. There is hot water in each bathroom and a place to wash cloths. Really just pretedn you are going to an old lack cabin with limited amenities. My friends and loved that feel. But we wished we had a false sense of security with curtains on the windows. Also there is nothing really up the mtn so i recommend you are ready to turn in before uu head up and a car with 4x4 or one that is not low to the ground its a dirt road at points.

Simple accommodations in a beautiful setting. Great trails on the property and a lovely pool by the river. We chose to eat at the lodge both days. No AC but wifi and balcony overlooking forested canyon were great. Tons of birds.
