Great stay here. My only thing to note is the lower cost room was upstairs and no elevator. I was able to bring our stuff up, but I could see some people really have a challenge if they didn't know in advance. Room was renovated and very clean. Great shower, convenient location for the early ferry. Tim Hortons and McDonalds close by. Would stay again.

When I saw the peeling paint outside, I was bracing myself for disappointment ... But, inside, it became obvious that this hotel is being meticulously and skillfully renovated. The hallway and room were pristine, quiet, and comfortable. Would happily stay again!

Everything in the room is new, completely remodeled. Nice and quiet too, and it appeared to be full the night we were there.

DO NOT JUDGE THE OUTSIDE. At first, I was really worried because it looked super sketchy on the outside/lobby. We had a room on the second floor so we had to park in the back and it was kinda sus. The second floor is newly renovated/updated and it looked like they were working on the main floor now. The room was surprisingly clean and looked like what it does in the pictures on expedia. You can compare the room to a room from a Hilton tbh. We had to take the stairs up and didn’t really see an elevator. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helped us get ice because the ice machine wasn’t working but she did take a look at it afterwards. Overall, 4.5/5 half point taken off because of how it looks outside but i’m sure they’ll work on it later on! :)

This property is still being refurbished. The rooms were on 2nd floor. Although our room was refurbished it still had issues. Main one was the bed. Mattress was like a lot of cart springs. Every turn let out a loud clunk. Bedding & linen was okay. Shame no breakfast available.

Our room was lovely, but the are renovating the first floor, so access to exterior doors was convoluted. Ice machine was broken

I've been staying here for the past seven years on and off for work and have never had a bad experience, until last night. Due to ongoing renovations, there are less available rooms, but also, less available parking. We could not find a parking spot near our room, even though we paid extra for a walkout room. The curtains didn't cover the window, so we were feeling very exposed. The remote for the tv wasn't working so we couldn't watch anything except what came on when you turned it on, if you could figure out how to do that! Finally, the bathroom flooded while I was brushing my teeth from some unseen leak and my soft moccasins got damaged. While the people at the desk were polite, they didn't give us our bottled water for the coffee machine for morning, nor did they offer the standard doggie treats that are to be given out when you bring your dog (as per the lady who booked my room on the phone). All in all, I am no longer going to be using this motel for my trips to Espanola.

Extremely disappointing , Front desk unclear regarding unfinished directions to room . Room was sterile with redecorations , no reading or desk chair ( brought a plastic chair from outside ). beds not changed from old days , sink did not drain , toilet seat loose , room NOT cleaned for second night although sign was on the door ... final touch !! No hot water the second morning !!! .. No offer of reimbursement or small credit ..... Price tooo high for what we got ... don't go ! FOTGOT to mention , the great Restaurant is now expensive and poor cooks !

Our room was clean and quiet, and staff were helpful.

The staff were very helpful to fix a booking error that I made online! Rooms are clean but sparsely furnished. Ongoing renovations caused some inconvenience but in all, the stay was pleasant.

We had an excellent stay at the pinewood before heading out on a camping trip. The hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms were brand new and clean. Comfortable beds, bright clean bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel is also fantastic. Very friendly staff
