It’s always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The owner & his wife are very sweet & make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.

This is a lovely hotel in the small historic house that belonged to the Steyns family, who founded the Belgian shoe brand Ambiorix. In addition to the lovely rooms, there are many historical artifacts and framed documents pertaining to shoe manufacturing displayed. The beds are comfortable; shower is fantastic; and breakfast is very good. I look forward to returning to Tongeren (which itself is a lovely place) just to visit this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. My wife and I loved our short stay in Tongeren. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Old mansion house with character but good wifi and service. Bit of a one man show but that is not a negative apart from the fact that we needed a guest to let us.

Business stay. Small friendly hotel. Being small there is no full time desk, but communication before arrival is very good. Rooms nicely appointed and also very well restored. Nice lounge available to relax in. Breakfast is fine and typical of other local offerings. Car park charge seems a little OTT as there is free street parking available for overnight hours. Tongeren is a great little town to spend the evening.

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The host was very cordial and offered much help in any situation that was presented. We had an awesome stay and would consider by far coming back to this hotel for future visits.

Hotel was very nice. The owner was very cordial, spending time to visit and get to know the guests a bit. Breakfast was typical European meats, cheese, bread, cereal and some fresh fruits. You can get bacon and eggs cooked to order as well. Parking is very convenient for being in town. Location is on a small side street with very little traffic but is within a couple of blocks from the Sunday antique market and other downtown attractions. My room was large. Bed was comfortable. Large window opened to the street if you like to sleep cold as I do. Overall, this is a very nice place to stay.

It may not be a big chain 5 star hotel - more like visiting a wealthy Grandmothers house - it's a fabulous old house that has been transformed. Comfortable sitting room on the 2nd floor [ 1st floor in Belgium ] - simple but satisfying breakfast, Great staff, cozy and comfortable. If you are looking for an army of a staff, stay elsewhere, but if you want a comfortable stay, in a room that costs a lot more elsewhere, then this is the place. Easy walking distance to the top 10 restos in town, including their own Basilik (where you get a discount for staying here) Also - one of the few hotels with parking - and very reasonable rates for parking. Laurent is very accommodating and is very helpful. Will stay again!

Tongeren is a small town which warrants a day, touring the Cathedral, Gallo-Roman museum and beguinage or as a stop-over en route to the Ardennes. This is really a bed and breakfast, located in manor house just a block or two from the Center of Tongeren. The owners have done a lovely job in modernizing yet retaining the traditional charm of the home, with polished wood floors, beautiful tiles and fully modernized bathrooms. There are added charges (which we thought rather high) for parking and continental breakfast and would recommend, instead, a walk to nearby cafes or patisseries.
