Beautiful stay

We enjoyed this quiet holiday home. The friendly dogs were a nice bonus and provided hours of entertainment for my children.

We absolutely loved our stay at Heima Holiday Homes. The property was beautiful and modern, with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable—even the sofa bed! Our only wish was for a microwave. Unfortunately, it rained throughout our stay, so we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights. However, I can tell that on a clear night, this would be the perfect place to watch them. One of the highlights of our visit was being warmly greeted by their lovely dogs, Moi and Katla, every morning and whenever we arrived. It made our stay even more special! 💖

We had a fantastic time here. The cabin was warm, clean and spacious and private with everything we needed to be self sufficient catering-wise. It was fabulous to be able to just step out on the deck to see the Aurora two nights in a row! We'd highly recommend this fabulous accommodation!

Peaceful, great location, warm.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Lots of privacy, beautiful sunset and was able to catch a glimpse of northern lights during our stay. The dogs on the property were incredibly sweet and made the stay so much more memorable and fun.

The communication from the owner was clear and the unit was clean. We were able to see the Norther lights during our stay. However, you have to go through 1.5km gravel road to get there.

We had the greatest time at Heima Holiday Homes! The land around these homes was beautiful. We were welcomed by 3 adorable pups, who also hung out with us (outside) the next morning. The home had coffee in the kitchen and all utensils needed to make dinner and breakfast. One of our favorite stays in Iceland!

miss the dogs so much

These homes look great from the outside, but the inside is another story. The windows are small, the temperature is hard to control, all the furniture and fittings were the cheapest possible. The bed was too soft and the whole atmosphere is depressing.

New clean spacious individual cabins, check in was simple

Great place!

Good clean cabins with nice bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets have cabinet / drawer pulls that are almost impossible to open. You need 2 hands to pull them or use a spoon to help give you leverage. Some of the doors were also falling off. The major problem with this place are the owners multiple dogs that roam the property. They were a nuisance and constantly in our way many times when we were entering and exiting our cabin. I am very uncomfortable being around unknown dogs after I was bitten severely last summer. Do not stay here if you don't want to be bothered by multiple large dogs or have a fear of dogs.

Love love loved this property! It was our favorite in Iceland. The 3 dogs were a superb bonus to be able to wake up to and play with before starting our day. Home was extremely clean and fresh towels provided daily. It was nice to have a tv with Netflix to be able to unwind a bit before bed. Would definitely stay again!

Modern cabin in a rural area equipped with everything you need. There are 3 extremely friendly and adorable sheep dogs on the property. We also really enjoy the rugged views from the cabin. Highly recommend!

This place was so cute with a great location! The property was well taken care of, the communication was great, and we did not want to leave! We definitely recommend it!

Love the privacy and location. Property is clean and in good condition. 20 minutes from Selfoss for restaurants and grocery stores. The two cute dogs on the property are friendly and playful.
