Great experience. Best stay of my trip across Mexico. Frank the owner couldn’t be more helpful. Nice big room, very clean and even a fridge. Wi-Fi was solid and a terrific pool area.

Excellent facility with nice refreshing pool. Close to mall but not easy to find as it is an appartment rental and hotel without any sign outside. Even with Google map telling us we had arrived we had to ask a woman walking on the street to find the exact door.

The kitchen had no stove and the room was less than I expected. Shower head was ready to fall off. Just passable but we weren’t in long. We asked for a ride to the airport to be arranged and for what time, but when we got up in the morning we found that we were locked in the facility. We had to wake up a security person, he didn’t know anything about a ride coming, had very little English but he phoned a taxi. But the were very accommodating when we had to change our plans. I guess mostly just dissatisfied with the room.

It is a nice place but the area is not that nice. It was convenient since its very close to the University. I did not like the fact that they even charged for bottled water in the room. The breakfast was very simple.

This hotel is probably Mexico’s - well, at least Campeche’s - best kept secret. It’s a real oasis or refuge in a city that is often hot and dusty. The pool is fantastic after a hot day’s sightseeing, the staff is very friendly and the hotel is small. The only drawback is that it’s not in the centre, but if you don’t mind walking, it’s ideal. What is probably beyond management’s control are the dogs barking in the neighbourhood all night, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel itself. It’s the best.

We spend 3 days at Hotel Villa Escondida and we were received like old friends. The place is calm, clean and the staff dedicated to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel is located a 10 minutes' drive from the historical center and the sea side, there's a walkable Walmart 5 minutes' away, and nearby small local restaurants and stores.

the University is walking distance, but everything else is a bit far away. nevertheless, taxi service is very accessible and fairly safe.

Our stay at Hotel Villa Escondida was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely comfortable, and had a fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, dishes, an air conditioner, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. It was everything we needed during a stay. In addition, the staff were extremely accommodating- our plans continued to change throughout our 5-day stay and the staff was flexible and worked with us in order to accommodate those changes. They checked with us to make sure our stay was meeting our expectations and to see if there was anything they could provide for us to make our stay better. The hotel was peaceful and perfect for our needs as we were looking for a relaxing and quiet vacation near the pool. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and we would gladly recommend it to a friend.

Excellent stay. Nice hotel new and wonderfully clean.Coffee and pastries or cereal for breakfast and a small communal kitchen to make a quick meal. The owner and his wife and staff are excellent. I cant say enough about the pool and garden.I would highly recommend this hidden jewel and would definately stay again when I get back to Campeche

Lovely hotel, big rooms, great garden and pool. It kinda feels like a boutique hotel. I would stay here again if I came back to Campeche.

Es la segunda vez que me hospedó en este lugar, el lugar es relativamente nuevo y por lo tanto no hay olores como en otros hoteles de Campeche ya que son viejos (pero a la vista lindos), recomiendo mucho este lugar, en particular nos agrada mucho a mi y a mi familia, sin duda regresaremos.
