Great hotel. Simple yet functional bungalows with the ocean view. Excellent welcoming and attentive service from staff. Food is good - we ate on premises during 3-day stay and all dishes were good including both traditional and creole peruvian. Not much to see or do outside beside the walks on the beach. Will gladly return.

If you are visiting the north of Peru this is a must! It may take half an hour from Mancora to get there but worth the trip. Excellent place to spend a couple of days with family at the beach. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming since the very first minute and kid friendly as well. Suites are amazing with breathtaking sunset views. The only thing that was kind of difficult was to get cash around the area because Canoas de punta sal is not a very big city( no mall, no shopping area, not many options to hang out ) so I suggest to get cash before hand but in the hotel itself they accepted all kind of cards and also transportation it’s on mototaxi, private car or you can share a ride with other people. Every place was neat at Yemaya, very good food and drinks. We will be back. Thanks for everything.

Very peaceful if you looking to get away and relax a few day, beautiful sunset, the amenities are basic but enough to have a great time, the best is sleeping with the sound of the ocean. Great food, service and pisco sours. Definitely I’ll come back.

The word Boutique in the name of Yemaya Boutique Hotel is the proper way to describe this place. There is so much detail to recognize. Super clean, peaceful and a top-notch Michelin type of crew in the kitchen. Case in point:They slice the garlic with a blade ! so it will be laser thin for the gambas al ajillo. Great fresh fish meters away from the hotel. Fantastic cooking, well stocked wine list. Top-drawer service. I was very impressed. Lucy and Marimar run the show. Professional and hip team. Avant-garde by far. I'm a certified city boy. Not the outdoorsy-type at all. But I am coming back. Finally, a real Boutique hotel for a change.

The location of the property on the ocean was beautiful. Lucy, Miguel and Duglas made our stay relaxing and pleasant. We enjoyed the great meals and atmosphere. Lucy helped us arrange a whale watching tour and the mototaxi transportation to the beach where the tour started. She also helped arrange a regular taxi for a trip to Mancora. Our family recommends staying at Yemeya to unwind and create wonderful memories.

The staff at the resort was great and very friendly. Bungalows were very nice and the location was very peaceful. Food was average and too expensive for the area, but the lobster was worth the money. Pool was small, but view was amazing in late afternoon. The biggest downside is you cannot enter the beach. The rocks are huge and cover the beach. The view on the beach in the morning until mid afternoon is bad. After high tide it is nice, but don’t go if you are looking for a beautiful beach that you can enjoy. Again, the staff was amazing and we enjoyed our stay, but don’t be deceived about the beach. In my opinion, the bungalow should be about $80 per night.

Yemaya was exactly what I was looking for. If you want peace and quiet on the most beautiful stretch of beach in northern Peru, then there's no better place than Yemaya. Friendly staff, comfortable king size bed, and a private bungalow with unobstructed views (and sounds) of the ocean. Great value for the money. This is the only place I'll stay when I visit Punta Sal. Also, if you're considering Mancora, I highly recommend Punta Sal over the alternative. Mancora is nice for a day trip, but the beaches are more crowded, the night scene a bit more shady, and the accommodations overpriced. Skip the crowds and head straight for Punta Sal and Yemaya.

Beautiful spot. Each room has private views on porches of the ocean. There are rocks on the beach which is not for swimming, but there are other beaches close by that offer alternatives. The service was excellent and the food was reasonably priced and good. It is very private as well, only about 6 rooms so it doesn’t feel crowded at all.

main Issues is that the hotel did not have first aid, when we requested about fishing tours we did not get a response until we left, meals were over priced, there wasn’t any restaurant near the area, we had to eat at the hotel, 40 soles minimum per plate. No courtesy water bottles, swimming pool had a lot of bees floating, they also do not changed or clean your room, same towels for the 2 days until we had to ask for replacement. Very little security an very very little attention.

What an incredible little gem in the north, less touristy part of Peru. We had spent just over a week doing the Inca Trail and SkyLodge Pods climb, and wanted a bit of luxury and relaxation for our second week. Well, we weren't disappointed!! This is off the beaten track, about 1 hour 30 mins taxi from Talara airport (approx s./180 for 2 people. booked for us by Yemaya in advance), but is worth every minute of the drive. The beach is private and just gorgeous, and the upgraded cabana that they put us in had the most perfect little deck area with two loungers for us to sit and read during the day, over looking the ocean, and with sun loungers for when we wanted to tan. Lucy and Migel were both fantastic hosts, could not have done more for us. The food is also excellent - we took a moto-taxi one night to a local restaurant but decided to eat at the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner the rest of the time as the food was excellent and well priced for such a luxurious place. There's nothing in the local area to walk to as such but hey - that's exactly what we wanted!! We loved it so much that, after leaving and spending 3 days in near by Mancora, we changed our plans and spent our last 2 nights back here instead of flying to Lima.
