great staff... fine dinner options...

The hotel is in a really lovely location overlooking the Caribbean. The most expensive rooms are superb - not sure about the others as I have not seen them. The meals could be a bit better. The pizzas are very good, and some dishes were great, but we had a couple of disappointing meals.

Simple hotel, nothing fancy, but the room was awesome. Very clean. The only inconvenient was a lady smoking in the breakfast area restaurant. I spoke to the owner, but apparentely it was normal

Al llegar a la propiedad nos enteramos de que no se aceptaban pre-pagos a través de Expedía. Tomar en cuenta que no es posible pagar con tarjeta de crédito en la propiedad. Debe ser en efectivo. La habitación tenía un olor desagradable. Atenciones del personal, especialmente en el restaurante fueron excelentes Vistas de la propiedad son hermosas.

The staffs were really nice! The food is really really good. And your are near a lot of natural attractions.

The entire trip for me was amazing. I loved the hospitality of the staff as well as all the perks of being close to the Quemaito beach. The food was amazing and the breakfast is like no other. I definitely recommend people go to this hotel because it definitely serves as an amazing place to stay no matter how long.

Unfortunately, I was not able to stay in the property due to misinformation in expedia website. It was my understanding that the charge was paid by credit card. When I arrived at the property, I was told to pay i Dominican pesos which I didn't have. The property has not ATM nor card reader. I had to turn back, 3 hrs. I was very disappointed.

At my arrival, I was shocked to find out that the hotel did not accept any credit cards at all. The nearest teller machine where I could get money from was pretty far away from the hotel. I felt disappointed due to the fact that my reservation in Hotels.com did not warned me about this. I made sore of an arrangement with the person at the front desk to let me stay in and next day I'd get the money to pay them. Luckily they help me out and I was permitted to stay in.

They are doing repairs in the property, and to do properly cleaning in different areas...

Small relaxed hotel

Hotel El Quimaito accepted my 3 day booking and then a few months later cancelled it. I got an email out of the blue to say that since accepting my booking they had taken a block booking for a large group so they no longer had room for me and my family. They then refused to reply to any emails or answer the phone. Not even Expedia could get through to them I had chosen this hotel for where it was as we travelled round the DR. The inconvenience and last minute hassle the Hotel caused me was substantial. Expedia were great at helping to find me an alternative place (and arranging compensation) but I would not recommend placing a booking with this hotel from my experience with it. I would certainly recommend the Expedia service for resolving problems like this, though. I was so glad I had booked with Expedia, rather than going direct to the Hotel.

The staff are working incredibly hard to avoid the inevitable; NO guest from the industrialized world will ever revisit this hotel! The only possibility would possibly be; to stop ....in the adverts, and sell this hostal very cheap. They claim that they are "remodeling", but it seemd nobody are working on anything at the moment.? Nothing works here! We moved room four times in three days. The pool is so filthy it couldnt be used, they emptied it on the day we left... The beach has disappeared! Probably a looong time ago? If you walk through the bush for 10 min. You will get to a OK beach at Playa Quemaitos. The only place we found worth visiting in the area was Bahia de Aguilas, 2,5 -3 hours drive towards Haiti.

Me encantó! Nos quedamos para hacer turismo en la zona, nos incluyó desayuno lo que es un extra, la habitación muy limpia y un moderno mobiliario, cuenta con aire acondicionado y la cama era como dormir en una nube! Muy recomendado el hotel, personal muy amigable y servicial.
