Our room was at the roof top (also where breakfast is served) with the great view of the pyramid. You also get to see the sound and light show from here. Rooms are renovated and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Duvets have stains and one of the bathrooms has poor drainage. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Will highly recommend especially if you want room with the great view of the pyramid.

What is not to love. The roif terrace faces the pyramids, its just wonderful. Staying here was a highlight for me. The rooms are clean and modern, everything you need including a kettle and excellent shower. The road is a bit noisy, but thats Cairo, and the general location outshines everything. The staff are lovely, would highly recommend!

During my stay at this hotel I was almost sexually assaulted by the hotel manager. To be fair this is probably not a problem you’d run into if you’re not a solo female traveler, but it was still a very scary situation that unfortunately ruined my trip. If you decide to stay here please be careful of Hytham.

Amazing hotel. The view was breathtaking and the service was outstanding. We watched the light show at dusk from the terrace. Ate a delicious breakfast while gazing out at the pyramids. They even escorted us to their favorite felafel restaurant where we ate 6 different times. This hotel was a highlight of our experience in Egypt.

Good location for the pyramids. Good family running it. Needs renovation for the beds, for the toilets, shower etc and it should not have 5 beds in it, but OK for three.

Hotel location is near Pyramids entrance gate. Perfect view of the pyramids and sphinx. Nice arabic style breakfast. Staff are friendly. I was picked up at the airport as agreed. The hotel building is nice but it Would be great if the room assigned to me was clean and ready to use. I arrived around 3:00 a.m. and had to request to change the beddings as there were visible signs that it has been used previously. On our check out around 3:30 am, hotel arranged us a car service to the airport. The lady gave us a very old car 70’s or 80’s that cant even run more than 30 mph at the super highway. After 10-15 min of driving, we got a flat tire and we were standing on the side of the dark road of the super highway without an early warning device. Thank’s God another taxi stopped and we’re able to catch our flight on time.

Views of Giza were amazing. Can’t beat the free sound and light show. Staff was friendly and very willing to help out. We were in room 2 and had four double sized beds in our room with average comfort. No phone or TV in the room but you don’t stay at this hotel to be in the room. You stay here for the view and authentic Egyptian experience and breakfast. A bit different from modern hotels but great experience for a couple nights. My only complaint was the constant temperature change in the water. If you stay in room two just remember, you’ll have three seconds of ice cold water followed by six seconds of hot. Go ahead and try the Egyptian experience.

It was the worst place I've been in my life, only because of all the pressure I always had to buy something from them! I found them very impolite. You are just a source of money, that was my feeling. You cannot trust them. I was so happy to leave! Every 10 seconds, water in the shower turn cold for 1 second. Maybe only in my room. But the view from the top was perfect! And those working at breakfast and cleaning were much more friendly. Sadly, you should stay away from this place.

If there was not so much pressure to buy stuff in the lobby it would be fine. The hote has a great view but the neighborhood was difficult due to lots of scamming.

Pros: Good view of pyramids, lots of charging outlets. Cons: where do I start? The owner asked us our plans for tomorrow and then he gets all of his buddies involved. His friend Abdullah takes you to the pyramids and then to all of his friends, all of them asking you for money for something trivial like taking a picture. Then he takes you to a gift shop to buy more things, then wants you to tip people and give them money. Then the owner tells us we pay 10 dollars for an evening meal. It turned out to be 20 dollars each (40 total) for a meal that looked like it was worth 5 dollars...some chicken, bread, and vegetables. They are running a classic racket, and will take advantage of your European kindess by shaking you down for money your entire stay there. The wifi sucks, the owner is dishonest, and all his little minions are there to do one thing.....take money out of your wallet. Beds are not comfortable and the area is extremely filthy. Buyers beware!

I highly recommend Sphinx Guesthouse not only for the best view of the Giza Plateau but for the warm greeting and great care that Mr Gouda takes to make you feel at home. A very kind and gentle man, he will assist you wherever needed. You get a taste of the local culture here and are always welcomed to join the boys for a cup of tea or coffee downstairs. Mr Ali is a wonderful driver if you need to get around to the sights or be picked up/dropped off at the airport and Abdullah will enrich your tour of the pyramids with his infectious character as you ride camels through the desert. I highly recommend their services. It's not the Hilton, it is a small family operation and the rooms are quite old and dated but if you want a memorable experience with a taste of local life and the best view in town then go with an open heart and you will be rewarded.

Well this is a family run guest house overlooking the Pyramids & Sphinx. Its the best view from the rooftop of all the hotels in Giza,, you can watch the sound & light show nightly & enjoy a home cooked dinner if you wish & watch the sunset. The owner Gouda speaks excellent English & can help you plan your adventure to anywhere you desire to go. If you are looking for an authentic experience with the daily dance of life its abundance from the rooftop will not disappoint as camel's, arabian horses, carriages are abundant to whisk you to & from the Pyramids. If your looking for 5 star its not for you. There's daily breakfast provided also there's a KFC & Pizza Hut across the street. We will be back to stay here again! So enjoy you next adventure....
