I Googled for SpringHill Suites Times Square, and it brought up the 36th street location. My son and I walked 10 extra blocks, tried to check in and was told by Reception that we were meant to check in at the 46 street location. Had to walk all the way back in the rain.

This midtown Manhattan hotel was perfectly located in the theater district. While the room was small it was more than adequate particularly for a short stay and the price was outstanding for this type of location. The continental breakfast was amongst the best that we have had.

The area around this property was rough with some that were homeless or looked that. Two different days I asked the front desk to change a 100 bill. They said both times they had no cash. I find that unusual. Most of the staff were professional But a couple of times they did not want to be bothered. Just ok

The staff member at the check-in counter kept on asking for $75 for early check-in (like 12pm) even though multiple rooms were available. We were with small kids and she did not care much about that.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott on 46th Street is deceptively located between a Scientology building and an Italian restaurant. I liked that it is conveniently located near Times Square in the heart of the Theater District. They also serve daily breakfast buffet. What I dislike is the hidden $50 surcharge per day. Be Aware!
