I was told this was a brand new property. My room was very nice but it was very small. Not a lot of room to store my luggage. Might be an issue with two suitcases. The first morning I went down to have breakfast, I waited 30 minutes. When I sat down, there was a fellow folding napkins but nobody came up to me to ask if I wanted anything or that they would be serving me breakfast so I sat and waited. Eventually a girl came out to ask if I wanted tea but I said I just needed some hot water. She took my mug away and it must have been almost 10 minutes before she brought it back. At one point I noticed a man sitting at a table with a plate of food. I asked him where he got it but he didn’t speak English so I went and asked the front desk about breakfast. He said the food was coming soon. When the food finally arrived, it was quite disappointing. After that I never went down for breakfast again during my 8 night stay. The fridge in my room wasn’t working so I went down to the front desk to see about getting it fixed. It turns out that it hadn’t been plugged in. I have bad knees so it isn’t easy for me to kneel down on the floor to pull the fridge out. It would have been nice if this had been done before I arrived. For me the location is excellent. It is only a 3-5 minute walk for the tram and the Marmaray. There are lots of shops, restaurants and small markets in the area. The staff were very friendly.
