Good meal on Sunday evening (although some options had run out by 7.30 and I had to chase a pudding as there weren't many staff around). House wine was very decent. Room spacious and well ventilated with a comfy bed ( but too many scatter cushions needed to come off before you could get into it!). Bathroom was big and towels were thick and large but shower was not so good and it was hard to get the temperature right. Breakfast this morning was fine. Excellent scrambled eggs (ordered off menu) and generous amounts of toast and good butter. All-in-all, a good stay in a lovely setting.

The rooms had names instead of numbers which was unique to me. I enjoyed my stay.

So pleased with our three night break away with our dog. Very welcoming and everyone was very friendly and excellent service provided. We had a dog friendly room which was on the ground floor and gave us easy access to the large beautiful garden. Fan provided to help with heat. Clean rooms with lots of light and shutters for privacy. Food excellent.

This hotel certainly looks the part and we had hoped for a good experience, given the £147 price for B&B. The young man at check-in was both friendly and efficient. For the money, the room was just about okay, although the bathroom tiling left a bit to be desired. However, the bed was very comfortable. After that, things started to go downhill. Despite dinner being discussed at check-in, when we went to order at 7.20pm, we were told the kitchen was closed. The next surprise was the following morning when we discovered the shower in our room didn't work. The only solution was a dash along the corridor to another bedroom; not exactly the en-suite we expected. In fairness, we did enjoy our breakfast at Findon Manor but the staff's apparent indifference to the problems mean we will look elsewhere when we return to the area next time.

Trip booked last minute and the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. Really lovely small personal hotel with super rooms (ours had a 4 poster bed!). Breakfast was delicious with such a wide variety of options.

A friendly welcome and straightforward check in. The room I believe has recently been redecorated and it is to a high standard although, the basin hot tap has been incorrectly fitted which might cause a problem if not corrected. (management made aware) The bed was comfortable and allowed a good sleep. The food was very excellent and a good quality cooked breakfast. The only disappointment was the room was not fully cleaned with dust and bits on the carpet near furniture which had not been moved to hoover etc.

Arrived and was shown to my room where the bedroom window did not close properly and let in a big draught. Staff suggested I move into a new room immediately. In the new room I was unable to connect to or use the wifi which is listed as being available in all rooms. Staff offered to move me again. The third room I soon found seemed infested with ladybugs! There were several crawling on the walls and curtains and attempting to fly. I alerted staff, the only solution given was to spray the entire room with vinegar spray and air freshener. It was 8pm and this would have stank out the room and potentially caused breathing or health issues, it wasn’t a viable solution whilst a guest was staying in the room. The owner told me there was no more rooms to move into. A full refund was not offered despite the hotel not being able to resolve the issues. I was told I could leave but I would only get a refund for one night, despite not staying at all. I was very distraught but felt I had no choice but to leave. I left the hotel in tears that my staycation had been ruined and I hadn’t even got my money back. I have called and emailed the hotel to dispute this further, they did not respond until I told them I would write an honest review. They have still not given the rest of my money back, only offered a voucher for a return stay. I am not comfortable returning to this hotel. The hotel is tired and overpriced - heating on a timer, mould tiled over in bathroom, tatty furniture, cold inside

A pleasant hotel, comfortable and welcoming. Unfortunately the central heating was not working in the room, but fortunately there was a small fan heater provided to help thaw us out. Service was good, and all staff friendly and welcoming. Easy parking directly in front of the hotel.

Booked a deluxe room which was lovely! Clean, well equipped, view over gardens, coffee making machine, bathrobes, all very nice! Food was excellent, really enjoyed the venison and fish and chips. Hot and well presented. The general areas need some TLC, which lets it down. The chairs in reception need replacing, very shabby! If there is no money to replace, at least get them cleaned. Not a good first impression for a rather lovely, quaint hotel.

This hotel is an old building with character in a nice quiet location with easy access to Worthing and Brighton if you can drive. The staff were efficient and very helpful. We did have a couple of small issues with our room but this was sorted quickly and efficiently after we raised them with management. We was given a room upgrade which was appreciated. The breakfast was a wide choice of cooked local produce brought to the table once ordered with cereal fruit and pastries offered as extra help yourself options.I would recommend a stay at this hotel if you are looking for something more than a stay at a standard chain hotel.

We loved the quintessentially English Country House Hotel feel. Beautiful bedroom and comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. Very friendly staff. The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze. Would suggest lose the bath & put a bigger shower in!

Rooms are very light, huge windows, furnished traditionally as befits an old house. Happy with room facilities but more hangers, coat hooks and towel rail would be useful. Windows overlook a delightful village & spacious garden. Quirky building with uneven floors and steps up and down in doorways on first floor. Despite strong bannister in the stairwell, it proved difficult but not impossible for elderly family member. Prior to arrival we asked for him to have a walk in shower, this was accommodated without problem. We found all staff to be welcoming, professional and friendly yet not intrusive. My slight niggles, water pressure very low so difficult to wash long hair and the pillows too puffy for my personal preference. A small housekeeping issue was dealt with immediately that I mentioned it. The restaurant was well laid out with very comfortable dining chairs and the food was fantastic on the short but well balanced menu. Ingredients were of the highest quality both for breakfast and evening meals, cooked to perfection and presented as if entering a competition. We had three different chefs during our stay and they were all wonderful. I would however single out the chef who cooked my lamb on the first night. This talented lady, barely out of her teen years, was exceptional for one so young. The balance of flavours, texture and colours on the plates was extraordinary. She has an artistic eye for presentation, her culinary skills faultless and the high point of our stay.
