Great place to stay, great service, great accommodation, caring staff and wonderful breakfast, throw in free bike hire and easy parking and you have everything you need in the beautiful resort of Mimizan Sur Plage. I have no hesitation recommending Emeraude des Bois.

Lovely charming small hotel! France like it used to be—-warm,welcoming staff and fantastic home-cooking. Easy walking or cycling (all flat), and beautiful beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a small, family run hotel in a charming part of France. The owners are very friendly and attentive and really cared about making our stay enjoyable. Our room was very clean and we were allocated a ground floor room as we had taken our dog. The evening meal was delicious and home cooked. Would definitely return.

Although we booked two months prior to our visit, the proprietress phoned the day before our arrival to say there would not be room for us at Emeraude de Bois, on our first night, but that she had arranged for us to stay in another hotel overlooking the beach. When the phone call came we were actually climbing a mountain in The Spanish Pyrenees so couldn't check out the alternative hotel, but this was actually a delightful little place. All the same it was inconvenient having to pack up all our stuff and move again after only one night. We found Emeraude de Bois, clean, comfortable, and disappoints it was about 1.5km from the seafront, but the hotel provided cycles and a lock so we could ride along an adjacent cycleway to the beach. The breakfast provided was exemplary! Highest quality food and a vast selection, the coffee was the very best we tasted ever! So all in all a good place to stay for a few days!

The food was excellent and the hosts extremely friendly.

The hotel was easy to find and our welcome was warm without being too intrusive. Despite our poor command of French, the patron and staff worked tirelessly throughout our stay to ensure we got everything we wanted without delay. The food and wine was excellent and not overpriced. Service during the meals was second to none. The room was beautifully decorated, the ensuite very well appointed and the beds extremely comfortable. A day trip to Bordeaux was easily achieved using the park and tram system which is a bargain. Also worth a visit is the Parc Ornithologique at Teich. Here there is good walking and bird watching. Although we didn't try it this time, the area offers good, relatively flat cycling through wooded countryside.

Lovely, small family run hotel. Great location and spotlessly clean! Good value for money.

Facilities, food, location and staff exceptional. We were made very welcome and were pleased with the very reasonable bill at the end of our 5 day stay.

Mauvais accueil, parking pour les premiers arrivés, beaucoup de bruits due à une isolation inexistante. Impossibilité d'aérer la chambre pendant la nuit à cause d'une mauvaise installation (portes fenêtres qui s'ouvrent vers l'extérieur bloquées par le volet roulant).

Séjour de trois nuits dans ce charmant établissement. Personnel souriant et sympathique. Lit confortable. Seul petit bémol, les escaliers un peu bruyant.

Accueil tres agréable, hôtel très bien situé, dans un endroit très calme. J'y reviendrai sans hesiter.

Une literie de mauvaise qualité. Des qualités de finition des murs à refaire. La television qui ne fonctionnait pas. De l'eau chaude qui met plus de 5 min à arriver. Une ambiance humide dans la chambre et les placards. Malgré tout, un personnel très accueillant.

Magnifique hôtel, on est pas loin de la mer, on est a côté de la forêt, on peut louer le vélo la journée ou la demi journée, chambre nickel 👌, le personnel très sympathique 😁
