Nice location, receptionist was pleasant. Rooms were small and very warm, lack of a fan or air-con didn’t help. Felt a little pricey for what was offered although the sea front location obviously played a part in that. Everything was fine, nothing really to complain about but everything being was fine was all just “ok”, nothing good and nothing bad.

On check in we had to wait awhile (Not a problem) we were then given Coffee & Scones in the dining room (Nice) we then had to wait again at the desk to be given our key. (why not give that the 1st time?) In the room there was no mention of free Wi-Fi and no password so had to go back to reception to find that out. There was also no mention of what time breakfast would be served or where we should go either in the room or on checking in. We booked a superior room but to be honest apart from being a good size it's hard to say what was superior. The furniture is very dated an scuffed and marked everywhere. It was not an unpleasant stay in any way but with a little more thought it could be better. We though the price of £130 was over the top for the room

Great to have secure parking for my motorcycle. Lovely hotel and staff. Complimentary tea and scone was a treat. Single room was big enough with a great sea view (338) however the bed was really uncomfortable - soft mattress with a plastic liner (I'm guessing) so I was slipping and sliding all through the night so kept waking up. Not something you can check before you sleep, but I'd stay here again as it's a great location.
