It looked very grubby from the outside with a rusty iron staircase that led to the accommodation. The room was a complete opposite to the outside. It was newly decorated with an en-suite walk in shower and toilet, a comfortable bed, TV and the usual tea/coffee amenities. There was an annoying light that flashed on and off during the night, whether it was outside or from the smoke alarm I wasn't able to tell. It felt like a 'start up' enterprise for the owner, with a few bugbears to sort out. Although there were plenty of places nearby to have a meal I think it would benefit from some sort of catering facility.

OK apart from a leaking shower that was not fixed, we had a wet floor for days that was not mopped up

The walls between the rooms were too thin. Never had any sleep, the man next door was shouting all night till 3 in the morning, didn’t feel safe. Not sure how the keys worked, the front door was stiff to get in to. Was worried in case the same key opened every room. Won’t be staying there again The lights beside the bed didn’t work

Pub was shut so somebody waited for me to arrive. Felt uncomfortable entering on my own through the back of the premises and the fire exit. Everything was discussed by text. Would not stay again.

I stayed alone here for two nights and found this to be good budget accommodation. I received a warm welcome, got shown to my room. This contained a very comfortable double bed, a hanging rail, bedside cabinets, TV, tea, coffee, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom had a walk in shower, loo, loo rolls, sink, towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Everything was well cleaned. The rooms are above a sports pub in a side road with cafes, the town centre and the beach all within 5 mins walk. The railway station is a good 10 minute walk away, longer with luggage. Lots of eating and drinking places, theatre, cinema, Morrisons supermarket, buses, all within walking distance. Its important that you notify the Claremont of your arrival time. This is to make sure someone is there to check you in. The rooms are above a pub, so there was some noise, noises of plumbing in the other rooms and some street noises. But nothing to spoil the stay and I felt safe. Rooms are accessed via a metal staircase outside the pub. And there were some steps to access rooms. So may not be ideal for people with mobility issues, although I managed. I came by train, which was easier than finding parking in the area. Overall I would recommend a stay here when visiting Bognor.

Booked the room as a quick and easy stay before a local event. Hotels are often booked up prior to the event and The Claremont Inn was one of the few remaining places within my budget. Overall stay was good, convenient location and modern clean room. Upon arrival was welcomed by drunk bar customers and lack of directions for where to check into the room, making me feel slightly uncomfortable as I stood there with all my luggage and no attention given by the one member of staff in sight. Only when a man (I assume the owner) walked past asking if we were okay did we finally manage to get to our room. During the night we could hear loud music and shouting from downstairs (it is a bar so it’s kind of expected). For the price it met expectations and was in the perfect location for our requirements

Check-in was poor - the person on duty hadn't been told we were coming so had to try and get hold of someone to tell her which room to put us in. The bed in Room 3 is very creaky on one side where too many people have used it as a seat. The shower didn't work properly - the water either dribbled or cut out completely. There's a pigeon problem so we had the noise of pigeons all night. The property is very near a busy road so there was traffic noise all night. Not all the lights in the room worked. No checkout option - just told to leave the key in the door when we left. £80 for the room was very steep.

I couldn't accept WI-Fi. They promise car park, but doesn't worked. They said no smoke room, but everything was smelling cigarettes. I read about breakfast was included but not. My receive didn't submit in my email.

To be fair to the Claremont, we actually never stayed there. Nothing to to with the Caremont. We arrived and the pub, but had no parking at all. I went in, to ask where we could park. I was given instructions by a lovely young lady. Tried as we much as we could. We had no luck. We were going to a fancy dress party, so we had a lot of lugage and a large presant. When we finally found parking, it was not practical for us, and we felt comfortable leaving the car. Under different circumstances. We would have been happy with the Claremont .
