Close to beach

Rooms were a bit basic, I felt procarious standing in the bath trying to shower as no grab rails. Taps were difficult to open and close. Entrance steps had some that were loose

Cheap, clean and tidy . Skeleton staffing meant a wait if you needed anything , waited 10 - 15 mins to get checked in and at the bar . Great location

The receptionist was great and very helpful. All the staff were friendly and never far away. The room was a good size and the bed and bedding were all good. The bathroom and toilet were tiny but worked. When sat on the toilet my knees touched the wall in front of me. The shower worked as it should and there was plenty of hot water. The drain smelt. The basin was do small I could not wash my hands in it together had to rinse each hand one at a time. Other than that the room was warm and quiet.

Very reasonably priced for it's location and the bed was comfortable. However, the room was very cold and the curtains didn't cover the window which made sleeping difficult. There was also mould in the shower and the decor in general was very faded. You could also hear any internal noise from the corridor and the wifi didn't reach to my room.

When going to used the shower we had no water coming out of it. We were in a rush to get out so went down to tell the receptionist. When arriving back to the hotel that evening the hotel staff said it was sorted. Went upstairs and my 5yr old daughter got into the shower. We managed to get it to a warm temperature at this point I started to wash her hair what I didn’t realise was when I went to rinse the shampoo out the temp continued to rise and burnt her but I was quick to remove! The shower had no cold water going to it at all. They did move us to another room but this could have been very messy if I hadn’t been so quick. WC and Shower room could do with updating as looking very old and tired. Also still had someone’s empty shower gel bottle left in the shower.

There was no where to park, although there was parking it was all taken, maybe because I arrived late at around 11.30pm. Could do with a bit of updating, it was clean and comfortable.

The stay was average, we got what we paid for, but the staff member on the front desk was amazing. We can't complain for £57 for the night, especially as we were only staying after a family funeral

Friendly staff, lovely reconditioned hotel.. Nice sea views.

Very clean property fairly close to the centre of town. We booked single rooms which are hard to find these days and they were perfect for us. We even had a sea view at a great price. Housekeeping came every day. The room was very warm and the windows didn't open but I brought a fan from home so it was fine.

Room was small and comfortable , door on the bathroom did not shut fully from the inside and the tv remote did not work . The lift was out of order which was a bit of a pain as I had a bad back but overall it was clean and I would definately stay again .

Cheap and friendly budget hotel

Strand staff were polite and helpful. Double room with sea view was of medium size with nice view and east facing, so plenty of morning sunshine.

Stay was cancelled three days prior then kept emailing to ask how my stay was, still chasing refund
