Lovely stay and spa facilities.

Beautiful property , decorated for Christmas . Parking was a bit difficult

We stumled across this hotel by accident but what a find. Set in a very picturesque location the hotel is quite charming. There are many positives which include the rooms, the food dinner and breakfast, the staff (who were just superb) and the owner who was only to happy to chat about the hotel and its history. This is a great place to go and unwind and all four of us who visited just loved it.

A very nice place to stay and relax. The staff were superb, food excellent and the rooms a very high standard indeed. Evening meal started with canapes in the drawing room, followed by a fixed price meal in the dinning room. Everything about this hotel shouts luxury in a lovely relaxed way. The Spa is well equipped with decent sized pool, steam room and outside tub. Situated a minutes walk away from the hotel. Fishing available on the lake.

great location by a river and lake; nice for walking. nice jacuzzi overlooking the lake. good food options. spacious cottage. the tennis court could be look after a bit better. the room although spacious felt a bit basic for a four star property.

We could not fault this hotel. All staff were friendly and polite and went out of their way to help. Beautiful location and very peaceful. We felt like the only people in the hotel at times. The spa especially was never over crowded and felt very exclusive.Our suite in the main building was extremely spacious, clean and very well appointed. Large well appointed bathroom. The food was exceptional, the cooked breakfast was delicious and the evening meal was very special indeed. If you like traditional furnished hotels you cannot beat this place and we will definately return in the future.

The hotel was wonderful so so quiet, whuch having a busy job was a welcome gift to jave such peace and quiet. Spa was fully booked so will ise next time. Had fiid off the snack menu, wish the dining iprion xhanged it was the same the whole stay

Fabulous stay at the Lake House - rooms very comfortable and roomy. Highlight of the stay was the amazing grounds, superb staff, and wonderful food. Couldn’t fault it !

Charming hotel, in beautiful surroundings. Felt like we were stepping back in time as everything was elegant and refined. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking lake is something special and the woodland walk around the grounds by the river is magical.

Gorgeous period house with modern comforts. Beautiful bedrooms. Fantastic food with excellent service. Extremely friendly and polite staff. Spa lovely and most fantastic massage.

Service was so impressive. All of the staff were friendly, really helpful and attentive. Leisure facilities were wonderful as well.
