The best family rental ever. For the price compared to all the other resorts you get the most bang for your buck: location, FULL KITCHEN, laundry, guest services, beach access, shopping, and the most beautiful ocean with snorkeling magic galore. We saw sharks turtles and fish by Black Rock. It was amazing. Our daughter loved her first trip to Hawaii. We will definitely be back to west Maui and highly recommend the Whaler.

We didn’t had a good time here at this resort, we took a one bed two bath unit, the only good part about it was the view from balcony. The kitchen was just basic and lacking proper utensils you’d want for cooked meals which is one of the main reasons you’d be staying here instead of a hotel room. The dishwasher wasn’t working. One of the bathrooms had the shower leaking and we were informed later on that it was a known issue even before we checked in which they didn’t care to fix before check-in. There were multiple occasions when false fire alarm went off, at times, early morning around 5, which woke us up abruptly, the alarm kept going on randomly, we were told it was false alarm each time. The bedroom was adjacent to the busy elevators, so the elevator metal clanking noises were heard all day in the bedroom. All in all, this stay was a dampner on our vacation here in Maui. We wouldn’t stay here again.

This condo was absolutely beautiful with stunning views. Right on the beach & steps to shopping and restaurants. Definitely recommend

The hotel was amazing! Right on the beach, shopping a short walk away. Wonderful staff. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

I loved the proximity to Whaler Village where it was only a few minutes away! The beach was right by our doorstep and so was the pool and the hot tub. It was unfortunate to not have any housekeeping service throughout our six night stay. I was surprised to be among time share owners and felt a bit awkward whenever I used the pool and hot tub. Four out of six nights did a big group of time share owners seem to have their private party in the shared/common areas.

Stay was amazing. Great location. 1 thing that soured the stay was the night crew desk. We stayed a week and a few time after a late dinner we would ask for towels and toilet paper. Instead of just giving us the items this guy just roasted us on when or how we should have called sooner for those items. I was close to telling him to f off and do his job and give us the items.

We had a fantastic time at the Whaler. The property is amazing. Location is perfect! The beach is clean and water is super clear! The staff are all very accommodating and nice. The tour concierge even reminded me that my booking included a $139 credit for a tour that I had not yet used and we were about to book one. All the resorts around the Whaler had restaurants that were easily accessible from the beach boardwalk. Plus the Whaler Village provided great options for food and a little shopping just 5 minute walk next door. Our room provided double the space of a regular hotel room with 2 bathrooms, a living room, perfect balcony and oh the sunsets…the sunsets from our room were crazy beautiful!

Love the staff, super friendly! Allowed us to check in early and were super helpful with directions, would 100% stay there again

It was amazingly well maintained. The staff were very accomadating anf friendly. It felt safe at all hours of the day. It was in close proximity to dining , shopping and excursion mtg points.
