I would definitely come back to Yellow Nest. This place was very welcoming, beautiful and quiet. I wish I had booked more stays not just one night since there are a lot of activities included in the stay. Dante, George and the rest of the staff were amazing.

This is a very unique property in the jungle that just didn't work for us. We rented a villa with a plunge pool. Despite a beautiful setting, cool design and friendly staff there were some deal breakers that made us decide to forfeit our money and get another hotel the same evening of the day we arrived. The lack of AC during the day during intense heat and humidity was a big deal for us as was the noisy diesel generator next to our room that is on all night. The property is not easy to access. We may have felt less isolated if we had an SUV instead of a regular sedan but it didn't feel like we could safely (flat tire wise) navigate the roads after dark and we really like the idea of having options for dinner, which wouldn't have worked with that location. Another review mentioned the strong sulpher smell of the water. The smell stayed on my skin causing me to smell bad. Not romantic for a couples retreat. However, those things that were deal breakers for us might not be a big deal to someone else. Like we said, it is an interesting hotel in the jungle but we were looking for some comfort and luxury and the pictures did not stack up to the actual experience which had a more "roughing it" vibe despite the price tag.

First off, the property is beyond gorgeous and the staff was attentive and so kind. I was all set to leave a fantastic review about how peaceful and tranquil this oasis in the jungle was- BUT the serene and beautiful pool was overrun with loud groups (each had their own rap music speakers blasting) … I don’t know if they were daypass holders or guests but they ruined the atmosphere and I was disappointed the staff did nothing.

Our stay here at this property was amazing! The service was outstanding and the staff were all so friendly, helpful and very professional. The food and the drinks that we enjoyed here were all so delicious and presented very well. We absolutely loved our floating breakfast! That and the meditation ceremony were our favorite! We were able to unplug and recharge here in our jungle villa. Biking to the local Cenotes were so much fun! This stay was fun, safe, and definitely an experience to be had!! Highlight of our trip!

Staff was coopeative, always willing to help you and give you tips. The last kilometer of the road to get to the hotel is in very bad conditions.

This place is a nice stay if you want to visit for the day or at most one night. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a drink and a small tour of the place. I had reserved a private dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday, they never followed up on it. When I did ask, their excuse was that we were never in our room. Absolutely ridiculous. Our pool was very dirty upon arrival, leaves everywhere and a ton of mosquitoes and bees inside. We tried to ignore the little things, however, as our trip progressed our power kept going out, our water was out for an hour and no warm water till the next day. On an attempt to go out to the city when we returned and asked for a pick up from the road, we were immediately told that we were coming back to our room to late, keep in mind this was only 11pm. We were thrilled to explore this place but sadly we will not be returning.

Dirt road leading up to property is very uneven. I had a Jeep so no problem but I can understand how other vehicles may have a problem. Outside of this, very peaceful and surrounded by wilderness.

According to expedia the hotel is located 8 min walking distance from the beach, the nearest beach was ~15min driving, the hotel is very secluded and basically unreachable without a car

Great stay! Beautiful location and pools. We loved the temazcal ceremony, floating breakfast, and signature dinner. Only snag was that the WhatsApp concierge number was not very helpful the couple of times we reached out to it because apparently the person who monitors it does not live on property. Better to visit the front desk in person if there is a question

The hotel is clean and personnel is extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast included is very good, and you can take yoga clases in the mornings! Yet, be aware that the standard rooms DO NOT have air conditioning and although for this time of the year is not a problem as temperature is good, it does affect tremendously the quietness of the room as you can hear all that happen outside including conversations, the music that is played until 10 pm and the noise of a generator that runs all night. So if you like quietness at night, make sure you rent a room with AC. Also the 3km road from the street to the resort is in awful conditions. We did not dare riding it at night for this reason. On a positive note, the hotel provides transportation to go to the nearby cenotes. Make sure you are careful when renting the room as we let ourselves be deceived by the pictures of the rooms which all had an AC

Great place to experience the wilderness and the forest as well as cenotes. Exceptional service in a remote area. Very nice staff. Be mindful that if you plan a trip at night the roads are too bad only good if you want an off-roading experience. We got delayed and the roads were scary.
