Fabulous

Friendly owners and good clean comfortable room. Breakfast was great. Had to drive to main beach. I believe parking in street is normally easy but we arrived during a festival and parking anywhere was almost impossible on the day.

The owner was very attentive to our needs and nice. Breakfast was very good-loved the organic herbs sausages and fresh eggs. Location was convenience for what we needed for. Toiletries provided. The room and the shower/toilet are extremely tiny. My husband who is 6”8 found it difficult to stand upright in the shower. The shower/toilet was not cleaned properly as we found a corn plaster on the floor next to the bin left from previous guest when we checked in and the toilet has yellow stained on it and dirty. The room was dusty and stuffy. We had to leave the windows open at night but there were lots of noises at night - animals, cars and our room was literally next to the breakfast room so we heard all the noises at early morning. We also went round and round a few times looking for public alongside parking before we found a space which wasn’t close to the B&B.

Owner was very welcoming, friendly, polite, helpful. Room was decorated lovely, but room was a bit small and shower cubicle was small, kept hitting my elbow on either the wall or glass door. Breakfast was amazing, i have never been feed so well. A lovely place to stay, will definitely visit again.

My family I recently stayed at the Cherry Tree Guest House and I can honestly say that Mel and Colin were very hospitable and nothing seemed too much for them. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms were light and airy and clean. Each room had its own unique style of decor. My only criticism would be that it is not always easy to park outside.

Very nice, very clean and very unsual. A lots of beautiful objects all over the place. Tea cups on the cherry three, wonderful. My lady wants to go back, me to.

Everything you need in a single room. Would have given 5 stars if there had been blackout curtains (just because I am used to that at home). Parking was a bit tricky on this occasion.

Fantastic front room , honesty bar , warm and welcoming hostess. Quirky cool dining room - cost bedroom and huge bed !

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and many choices. Free bottles of water and biscuits in the room and also been offered free bottles of water when we were leaving as the weather is very hot and it’s very thoughtful of the owner. Good location. The wash bassin is too small, water is easily split out.

Nice single room at the top of the house. Very well appointed en suite but the hot water ran out before the bath was half filled. A very windy night which meant the room door rattled as I had the window open to relieve the warmth. Great breakfast

I received a very warm welcome from Colin & Mel, they really made me feel ‘at home’. My bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfort. There was a very extensive breakfast menu with a separate Specials Board with lots of local and also home-made produce. The guest lounge was a lovely place to sit and chat to other guests. I have already recommended The Cherry Tree to others and I will definitely be back next time I am in Eastbourne.

A very pleasant stay. The hosts, Colin and Mel, went out of their way to make sure everything was to my liking. A lovely, comfortable B&B.

What a great find. In a quiet location, yet very close to the seafront and within walking distance of the city centre and walks along the cliffs. Mel is very enthusiastic and proud of her guest house and the area in general. She's very positive and happy to give helpful tips without being intrusive. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Nice breakfast room and comfortable guest lounge. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. We'd very happily return here on our next trip to Eastbourne.

It's about 15min walk from the station. The location is about half way between the station and Beachy Head. Owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a cosy, welcoming place. Thick clean carpets give a homey feeling and it's nice to walk about indoors with socks/slippers. The breakfast included was amazing, so many things to choose from both hot and cold. Things that can be improved: stability of WiFi signal, water pressure for shower on the uppermost floor, sound insulation (can hear people walking on the stairs). All in all very good value, and I'll definitely stay here again.
