The location was great for our purpose. The stay was good too, no complaints. Overall a good deal and I would recommend to others.

Property was nice and the pool was nice. It was in walking distance to the beach, shopping and food. We had a nice time and the host was very kind. When we expressed one concern she took care of it right away. Thank you!

The property is located in a great place, close to restaurants and the beach. Check-in was a little frustrating as the keys were not in the box as per the instructions but management rectified the situation within 15-20 minutes from arrival. Cooking area has a real bad smell of moth balls that permeate the rooms and clothing when in there too long.

Absolutely stunning stay here, the owners were very friendly and helpful too. Been coming to Alvor for over 30 years plus, and have found a little gem.

The property was clean, quiet and within walking distances of neighborhood restaurants and the beach. It is a small guesthouse with approximately 6 rooms. it was a great fit for our needs.

Really enjoyable weekend in a spacious, comfortable room looking onto the pleasant garden/pool area. Great continental breakfast spread and an amazingly equipped enormous kitchen available for guests who wished to cook or attend to laundry. Only minutes from an Intermarche supermarket and an easy walk into the original village area of Alvor, which is teeming with restaurants and bars. Also easy access to the beach and interesting cliff walks. Ticked all my boxes!

We stayed just one night in their smallest room in this residential area. Everything went smoothly with checking in and out. Did not have more than a hello from the owner but not more was needed. Off street parking was very nice. A nice pool and breakfast. It was simple and good.

Summer cascade is a great location, 2 minute walk to grocery and several restaurants and a reasonable 10 min walk to the main restaurant/barb corridor and 20 min walk to the beach/boardwalk. it offers a common room dining area with continental breakfast and access to kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. Very social with other guests. Secured parking and outdoor pool are welcome amenities. Our unit (“pool view”) was a self contained modular house with two very small bedrooms, kitchenette and living area. The space is tight but functional. Twin beds seem to the norm in Europe. Great pubs and restaurants in this town

Check-in was not easy, saw another guests also struggled so I helped. I also did not receive the VIP gift (a bottle of wine?) The breakfast was a little disappointing, I chose this location since guests commented good breakfast, but mostly carbs and no hot items. The lady that works there was nice (just no English at all)

We stayed in the 2 bedroom loft apartment. It is a very compact space and did not come as a surprise as the photos on the website show. We were only staying for 4 days so it was perfect. Its an ideal location close to everything, continental breakfast is also included from 8-11 and tea and coffee available all the time. The pool area was quiet so no problem with sunbeds. The host Lucibela went above and beyond for us. My 73 year old mother with reduced mobility was with us and when we arrived early to drop the bags Victoria made a call to Lucibela and we were given our apartment early. It was such a lovely gesture and my mother was able to have a lie down after our travel to Alvor. I cannot praise them enough. My mother was a late addition to the trip so I didn't check what accessibility would be like but she managed the ramps and one flight of stairs fine with her crutch.

I recently stayed at this holiday apartment and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the onsite parking was fantastic, and the keypad entry system was straightforward, making access easy. The room itself was nice and comfortable, although it would have been helpful to have a full-length mirror since the only one available was in the bathroom. The bed was quite comfortable, and the Easter chocolates were a thoughtful touch that added a bit of charm to our stay. However, there were a few drawbacks that impacted our overall experience. I had a bit of a scare while using the toilet, as it wasn’t firmly fixed to the floor. Additionally, we weren’t made aware that there would be no housekeeping during our stay. I noticed a washing machine in the communal kitchen but didn't realise we were expected to wash our own towels. Another point of confusion was regarding the amenities. Calling the area labeled as a “gym” a gym is a bit of a stretch; I have just as much gym equipment in my spare room! Furthermore, the ‘jacuzzi’ was misnamed—it was actually a hot tub, and the pool looked dirty and likely just needed some chlorine. On a brighter note, there was plenty of choice for breakfast, which was appreciated. Overall, while the apartment had its perks, I believe some clearer communication and improvements in maintenance could significantly enhance the guest experience

5 Stars – Exceptional Stay at Summer Cascade Alvor! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Aparts & Suites Summer Cascade in Alvor. The host couple was unbelievable—so warm, welcoming, and attentive, they truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The rooms were clean, cosy, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the self-service continental breakfast—fresh and well stocked every morning. The facilities were top-notch, with a lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi, plenty of secure parking, and a very safe, peaceful environment. A special touch that meant so much to us was how they treated our kids—they received Easter eggs and colouring books, which made their stay even more memorable. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for getaway!

Beautiful place, we didn’t get the chance to use the pool unfortunately, we didn’t stay long enough. The staff was very nice.

The staff at this hotel are amazing! They are so helpful, so friendly, so welcoming! The first day we arrived they immediately helped us settle in. Showed us the beautiful premises and gave us some info about the area, where to eat etc. the lady was so sweet, she was always engaging our kids and even gave them beautiful colouring books which my kids loved. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the parking is easy, safe and free. The area is very walkable and close to a lot of attractions. The room is big and comfortable, we had a huge bed and big sofa bed. There is a really great communal kitchen which you can also eat in. I highly recommend staying here. This place was a highlight of our trip.
