Very well maintained and comfortable lodging on a nice quiet private beach. The proprietor was very nice and took care of all our needs. Would definitely stay here again!

If you're look for something away from the crowd of the marina or off the beaten path, this is for you. Allen is still in a building phase but everything was perfect. The private beach area is absolutely dreamy and rental had everything we needed. It was clean, well appointed, and has the best views. Also- Allen was really helpful and informative about dining and local options.

The property boasts a beautiful view and is part of a new construction, which made everything feel fresh and modern. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the space was generous—with a roomy kitchen, large bedrooms, a spacious family room, and a wide deck to enjoy the scenery. The internet was fast, and ceiling fans throughout the home added to the comfort, especially on warmer days. One of the standout features was how quiet the location was—great for relaxing or getting work done. The host was outstanding—they went above and beyond by personally walking me through the property to explain how everything worked, pointing out local attractions, dropping me off at the car rental agency, and being very responsive whenever I had questions or concerns. It’s rare to find such a committed and thoughtful host. On top of all this, the price was excellent compared to similar properties in the area. There are a few things to be aware of. The water has a moderate sulfur smell/taste, which is not uncommon in some areas but might take getting used to. The access road for the last quarter mile is quite rough—small cars may have difficulty with clearance, so I’d strongly recommend a rental car with higher ground clearance. Additionally, the nearest grocery stores and bars are not within walking distance, so having a vehicle is essential. Very modern unique cabin with private beach access!

We loved this resort. Quiet, remote, clean and on a secluded bay. The cottage was fabulous and Allan Hamilton a gracious and caring host. Highly recommend Great Cistern to all who seek rest and a stress-free atomosphere

Lovely cottage with stunning views. Rental car was a must bc it's a bit like off roading to get to the property. Stocked cottage that more than meet our needs.

Alan met us at the property and showed us around. We even received an upgrade to deluxe cabin because it just happened to be available for our stay!! Fridge was stocked with a few cokes, beers, and wine complimentary. Kinda like they buy your first cocktail. The place is brand new unit as a rental. Well-appointed with new appliances, a/c units in each room, steps from the beach, amazingly cool shower with multiplesprayer heads. The road was a little bumpy but normal for this island. Go slow, and the location and condition of the property far outweighs a few minutes on a bumpy entrance. We will search out this property on our next visit. The price was actually low compared to others searched. 5 star experience. Nice job Alan!!

The location and or water access. The host was wonderful. He was always willing to accommodate any request made by the tenants. He always called to make sure that we are satisfied and comfortable. This is not something you find everywhere.
