Pete and Finn were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond and helped us with travel plans and gave wonderful ideas of what to do in the area. I was looking for charming Irish countryside accommodations and this did not disappoint.

Peter was an excellent host, and the views from the harbor-facing rooms were absolutely gorgeous. We really enjoyed our time in Cobh. Thoroughly recommend the coffee shop near Supervalu in the middle of town.

After seeing the place we left and didn’t stay. I don’t think the listing represents reality. You’re renting a room in someone’s house. It’s not a bed and breakfast type place. Everything needs to be fixed except the bathroom. And I mean everything. Total joke on us.

The view is amazing. Our host suggested walking along the harbor en route to dinner and made a great recommendation of a restaurant. Breakfast offered was delicious.

It's a former military quarters slowly being converted into a rooming house. A work in progress. There is no included breakfast at present and it's a km or so to town and cafés, restaurants. There is off street parking, but only for about 5 cars with a bit of Tetris to get in and out. With all 14 rooms booked, parking on the street would be required. Yvonne, who was looking after the place when we stayed, was lovely and helpful with suggestions for where to eat and what to do. She let us keep our beer cold in the kitchen fridge - no in room fridge - and even offered us some leftovers for dinner the night we arrived.

Friendly hosts. Property is in a lovely position about a 10 minute scenic walk into Cobh. Room was spacious with a lovely bathroom however a few things could have improved it - hook or a towel rail in bathroom, proper bedside tables, stand for suitcases…the room is big enough. The property description did mention a breakfast was offered (we hadn’t chosen this option) & reviews also mentioned breakfast but when I asked about it I was told they didn’t do breakfast. Maybe this needs updating - we went out so not a huge problem. There is a beautiful garden for guests to use and as the weather was glorious we did make use of it…definitely not all negative, I hope constructive!

Everything about the Lynwood House was wonderful! The room was beautiful, with a sitting area and a brand new on suite bathroom. There was a kettle for tea, a hair dryer, and a television. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the room are unmatched. Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing a bit of history and directing us to the best places in the town. We'd be glad to return on a future trip!

I can’t say enough good things about Peter & Fin at Lynwood! They are warm & gracious hosts. The property is cozy and clean. The furnishings are beautiful and the bathrooms are fully remodeled. It’s a short walk into town, which made our visit so easy. The coffee, tea and croissants each morning were delicious. Peter offered several suggestions on what to do locally. The Titanic Experience, the Irish Heritage Museum & St. Colman’s Cathedral were all well worth it! Loved chatting with Peter and Fin, too. HIGHLY recommend and well back on our next trip to Ireland! 🇮🇪

It was nothing like it looked on website. Booked 2 rooms. There was no heat available in each room. Roof was leaking in one room. About the worst place that I have ever stayed. Oh. no hot water in one room. Sink wasn't working, so owner said to brush teeth in the shower.

Perfect location. 10 minute walk into town. It’s an older property with nice views of the water. Breakfast was nice with croissants and coffee or tea. The host Peter is very welcoming and is knowledgeable on things to do in the area. Rooms are a bit cold but it is October and the weather was cold windy and rainy while we were there. I would recommend a stay.

If you don’t like dogs this is not the place for you as their huge dog was always around - even whilst we were having breakfast. These premises are a recent purchase by the couple and are a ‘work in progress’ project. There is no cooked breakfast option but the continental is ok and the fresh home baked soda bread was delicious !

Overall, we feel that our stay was good. The hosts were so helpful, kind and informative. The went above and beyond on service. The hosts were always available and very very helpful. A . The bed and shower in our room was very very good. It seems that they are starting in this Air BnB journey and will have it perfect one day. The common areas would benefit from a little cleaning and tiddying up. We enjory our stay here overall and would recommend it primarily for the host experience.
