Prior to my stay, I received an email stating rooms were getting upgraded air conditioners, but some still had portables for the time being which didn’t bother me at all.
Upon check in and getting settled in our room, I noticed our portable window air conditioner had been taped up with flimsy plastic, the window screen looked like it had already been propped open and broken into and there was no possible way to close or properly lock your room up ON THE MAIN FLOOR!! This is a major safety concern-especially for the area. We took all our belongings and locked them in our vehicle before leaving the hotel despite all the parking lot signs stating to keep valuables out to prevent theft. I did not feel safe staying at this hotel!!!
The only positive I can share is that it is in a great location with LRT station 39 just behind the hotel parking lot.
Normally, I would never pay or stay for $240/night to stay in a rundown hotel like this, but the hotel was completely full being Stampede Week and I felt like there weren’t many other options nearby.
You live and you learn. Never again.
