Although the room was small, the bed and accommodation were very comfortable. The room could use some renovations in the washroom but the location can’t be beat!

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cavailer. The location couldn't be better - steps to the old city, walking distance to all the historic sites. Checkin/checkout were smooth and easy. The room was spacious, clean, with lots of character, a super strong air conditioner - perfect during a heat wave. The kitchenette is fully stocked with cook/tableware and cutlery, and includes an electric kettle, which was a huge win for us. Of the slight negatives, we found that some of the power outlets weren't working and the light switches were a bit wonky, so we had to take turns charging our phones. We also found that you can hear other guests coming and going up and down the stairs, which is expected from a historic building and did not bother us, but if you're a light sleeper, you may want to take that into consideration. Overall this was an excellent stay at a historic 19th-century property and we would be happy to come back.

You need better sheets and comfortable pillows..beside that all was great.

Very convenient in old city. Room was just fine. Fairly priced. Parking and unloading is a major issue though. No place at all to unload. Parking lot very hard to spot from directions and the lot itself poorly marked. If you can't find that lot, it's quite a walk to the next one. This issue needs to be addressed.

This hotel needs significant work. Tow of the stairs on a very steep staircase were broken and becoming dangerous. I booked two bedrooms with a private bathroom, when we arrived we discovered that we had the top floor of the hotel. The floor was available to anyone who came up, and although the bathroom was door coded it meant we were going into the hall to use the facilities. During our stay we came back to the hotel to discover they were replacing the air conditioning and all the doors were open. We had not been told and had to stay out of the hotel for 4 hours while we waited for the workers to finish. The room was adequately cleaned after the renovation but this was not what we expected. We were reimbursed 10% of the cost for the inconvenience after I complained to the agency which handles the property.

The staff gave us top-tier customer service. We are immensely appreciative of them accommodating to our requests last-minute. The location is at the heart of Old Quebec and was super close to many hotspots (ex. Chateau Frontenac, Petit Champlain) and many restaurants and cute bakeries. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Quebec City.

The location was very good. The building is old and out dated….very few electrical plugs, poor air conditioning, very steep stairs. It did supply coffee and a fridge but no microwave.

The refrigerator did not work, the bathroom floor pieces are loose and get up when passing

Fabulous location for Old Quebec City!!! Clean facilities, everything included for the kitchenette, plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Easy check in & out process. Easy to navigate the city from the hotel.

The suite was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Check in was super easy and convenient. The staff responded to all our requests quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic location. Rustic condition, or character. Not a bad choice, just need to hold a proper expectation and don't be too picky. Again, fantastic location with a parking garage just across the street.

check in details were not sent to us by 4:00pm we had to call numerous times well after 4:00pm to gain access. Another family had the same issue. The room itself was nice and spacious for our family. Beds were clean. Excellent location for exploring. Quiet and quaint. Would return next time we visit Quebec
