The apartment was perfect for us (2 persons), it has the necessary amenities for the 8 days that we were there. The support the administrator and cleaning ladies gave was great. *The only down side is the communication before the travel was kind of difficult with the office that administers the property.

The location can’t be beat. Close the many restaurants and cafes. If you are a light sleeper bring some ear plugs as some nights can be loud.

Hotels.com verified review

We had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had here. The property never sent check-in instructions. Only after we reached out did someone respond—and only via WhatsApp, not through Hotels.com. Even worse, the access code they gave us was wrong. We were locked out for hours and only gained entry at 2am, after several unanswered messages. There is no concierge or reception, just a WhatsApp number that’s only monitored between 10am and 4pm. If you need help outside those hours, good luck. Things got even worse at checkout. Not only were they unaccommodating, but they actually sent cleaners into our room an hour before checkout, trying to kick us out early. Completely unprofessional. To top it off, when we contacted Hotels.com for help, their customer service was shockingly unhelpful. Instead of resolving the issue, they pushed us to switch to a cheaper hotel in a random part of town, with no concern for our safety or preferences. The agents were pushy and dismissive, offering no real solution. We booked through Hotels.com expecting a vetted property and reliable support—neither delivered. As a Silver member, this was incredibly disappointing. Avoid this property, and think twice about relying on Hotels.com if something goes wrong.

We had an excellent stay at this property in Mexico City. The location was excellent and easily walkable to great local neighbourhoods that were both safe and had many dining/cafe/bar options. The building itself is very safe and quiet. Two things I would highlight are that there isn’t an air conditioning unit (we didn’t need one, the evenings are cool enough for open windows, but if you’re sensitive to hot weather) and that the hot water tank for the shower was quite limited and exhausted quickly. Besides that, the place was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it and would come back myself in the future. Thank you for the great stay!

Pros: - super clean and well designed apartment - oxxo across the street which was convenient to buy water -near a juice spot/ esquina del chilaquiles, and popular taco spot on the corner Cons: -NO AC NO FAN got really hot during the day and night which made it hard to sleep and did not want to open the window/balcony for safety reasons. -luggage storage is only until 3:30 pm which was unhelpful for me since my flight was at night. -very loud at night, walls are thin? -hot water runs out which i understand trying to conserve but it was hard to shower as well because the showerhead was kinda spotty with its water streams which made me need to stay in the shower longer than i usually do. -communication via expedia was nonexistent? I was sending messages and got no replies. I had to reach out to expedia for a number/email then they were more responsive through those modes -code to one of the doors did not work when i checked in and a random door on my floor got closed and locked and i did not have the code to it. Small annoying things that could easily be avoided. -only 2 rolls of toilet paper,1/3 roll of paper towel. fine for me because i stayed by myself but prob not enough if you have more people for a longer stay.

This was my first time staying at Choapan 28, and overall it was a great experience. There were a few hiccups in the beginning—I didn’t receive my check-in emails 24 hours before arrival, and since it was my first time, I was a bit nervous. Thankfully, the cleaning staff on site were incredibly helpful and helped me get everything sorted out. We also had some issues with the door codes at first, but once that was resolved, everything went smoothly. The apartment was clean, safe, and in a perfect location—very walkable with great dining options, easy access to transportation, and a real local vibe. I’d definitely stay here again!

Lovely area and a beautiful, clean condo! There was a bit of noise from the upstairs neighbors at times, but otherwise, it was a great stay—I’d definitely book again.

Very pleased that we booked this apartment. The location is wonderful! So much close by in Condesa and access to everywhere else with a nearby metro station. The bed was very comfortable and the black out curtains made for a great sleep. Very nice large shower and super clean. It has the basics but you will have to buy coffee and toilet paper if you stay more than a day or two. The entry code to the main door we were given didn’t work and they didn’t respond to messages until the next day, but I’m sure if I had called we could have gotten it sooner. Thankfully we got lucky with someone exiting and our apartment code worked so it wasn’t an issue. The balcony didn’t have any seating and the balcony door didn’t lock. However, everything seemed safe and I would absolutely book again.

It was a lovely modern place in a great location, but it was too loud due to its position near the highway. Like, aggressively loud. I would not stay there again. Next, there was no one there ever representing the property, and that was a little unnerving. I called a number and finally established a WhatsApp relationship with someone who was very attentive, but I had to work for it. If loud engines from a highway close by doesn’t bother you too much, I would recommend. Next time I visit Mexico City, I’m going to try to find a quieter location if at all possible. Mind you, there were quiet minents as it wasn’t loud all the time.

It took a while to figure out how to get in the building but other than that I loved the apartment. Also there is no air conditioning which I did not know beforehand. I did have a big fan in the apartment which helped. Overall I would stay here again.

Overall, the stay was good. The area was loud in general. The road noise was loud. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The apt had all the comforts of home. I felt very safe there. We walked around the area after dark and felt very safe. I would stay there again. So many great restaurants and street food. Theres a great little restaurant with tons of murals that is within walking distance that was amazing. I think its called Art and the city. Ubers are cheap making it easy to get around.

Pros: This property was recently renovated so everything looks new. The small kitchen was stocked enough to make a small breakfast every day. The main door locks automatically and the area is very safe. The subway entrance is only a few blocks away. Cons: This property is at the vet south end of Condesa so you will be walking a lot. There is a busy street/intersection close by and the traffic noise was VERY loud at night, also there is little insulation between apartments and you can hear everything above/below/next door. The shades allow a lot of light in. Our front door code did not work upon arrival (we met several other people with the same issue) and it’s challenging to get ahold of the property manager. I probably would stay closer to Roma Norte next time.
