great location in Roma Norte. Newish building, clean and well taken care of. Stayed for a week and wifi was great for first five, last two were iffy. Building also has a small gym and laundry room that was missing from the listing.

We had a great stay at KunKun Tonala. The room was nice and reception was staffed 24/7, very courteous. There is a laundry room and secure storage for luggage when you check out.

Clean spacious room. A great location and a terrific and friendly staff at the front desk.

There was an error on Expedia’s part so we ended up with the 2 BR with city view that has the weird metal design over the windows. We were supposed to stay in the penthouse. It was kinda depressing so we actually left early. We ended up getting another place. We only stayed one night there and that was just because it was late and we were too tired to move that night. The bathroom smelled so strongly like mothballs. I’m thinking it had the old style plumbing that is stinky and so they put a toilet deodorizer in the floor drain. We couldn’t get hot water for the shower. It is an excellent location though. Maybe if we got the penthouse it would have been a nicer stay?

My stay was overall ok. The team working there are really nice, very responsive and super kind. For sure a highlight. The location is great, that is why I choose staying there (I used to live in La Roma for many years). However they don't have a system for early check in, so I had to pay a full night to be able to check in early... bummer as every place I have stayed before has this system... specially when the rooms are empty. Second massive bummer, they don't offer room cleaning!! ALL similar stays offer that, and unfortunately that is not clear on the booking page. The room is tiny, which it was ok with me as I only use it to sleep, but my issue was the next door construction... it's a massive construction (like a whole building) they should mention that on their booking page as a courtesy. Had to sleep with my phone next to me with very loud white noise to compensate... but I was still woken up very early by the noise. Not coming back and I do not recommend.

The room was very clean with all the items we needed for a great stay. The communications with the Kukun team via WhatsApp were smooth. The only thing that could improve the experience was the website itself which kept coming up with errors. But when I reached out to Kukun via WhatsApp they were able to answer all my questions and address my concerns very quickly. The location of the unit is unbelievable, right in the middle of all the action in Roma Norte. I would definitely come back.

Staff attentive and hospitable. Great location. Clean and well equipped with filtered water, dishes, small appliances. Washer/dryer available at the property (but not in our apartment).

Very convenient Roma Norte location to restaurants, shops, other sights. Was glad there was a friendly Front Desk person at all times -- good security as they buzzed you in -- although some did not speak any English which was inconvenient. Unit very clean, kitchen stocked with essentials. A large tv in each bedroom (one not a true closed-off room). Washer/dryer available for free. Uber came within 5 - 7 minutes. Very modern hotel/condo/apartment.

We got there at 7am & were able to leave our luggage while we went out to eat breakfast & explore before the 3pm check-in. Once in the room, it was super clean, perfect for size for my husband & I. I loved that you could open the window out to the city--allowing us to get fresh air. We met Manu who gave us fantastic suggestions of where to eat. He was so friendly!! One small thing to mention, when you walk into the room you'll sometimes smell a funky sewer-like smell...it's part of the plumbing & can also be smelled when walking in the neighborhood. I suppose it's because the plumbing in CDMX is old. We did end up putting a small towel on the shower drain to help with the smell. Nothing terrible nor will it deter us from coming back to Casa Toanala. Everything was so very close & we really loved our stay here!
