We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable. They also serve really nice food. Highly recommended.

The staff couldn’t have been less helpful, the room itself looked like a toddler made the bed and then finger painted the mirror. I wish we’d taken photos but we left the property, found another one and only returned to this place to drop the key back

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. I can't begin to describe how filthy the rooms and amenities were. The wotif price was $89 but they charged me $99 and would not honour the advertised price. Stay well clear of this place.

Exactly what I paid for: a room with a bed, a table and a chair One small doona, no heating, just that. What do you expect for $70

Ararat Hotel is a beautiful old building with 30 foot something ceilings. It's architecture and old world charm is immensely impressive. It operates like a hostel or an old boarding house. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of communal bathrooms and kitchens, but the bedroom was clean and warm on one of the coldest nights in Ararat this year. Thank you

Very friendly and warm staff. Nice and clean , rooms and amebities . Great prices . Really great building . I highly reccomend this place .

Carpet was sticky under foot, the pillow on the bed was so flat it was like having no pillow. I got given a better pillow the second night.

Awesome Old school accomodation.

The rooms are as basic as can be. A bed. A towel. Shelving. One plug. No TV. No aircon. No flyscreen. A shared kitchen and dining area is a big positive. It’s good basic accommodation.

I loved the shower and how they supplied soap and shampoo! The bed was very comfortable, they were very kind to offer a fan for the room. For the price it was amazing 😊😊😊 Loved the kitchen area also.

Dorm style rooms. I purchased comfortable double. Had 2 beds in a room with 1 small dresser and clothes rack. Very old building, squeekly floorboards toilets and shower down hallways. Showers were in beds toilet block. Not good. Very simple, clean. But backpacker/ dorm style at best. No tv room but is a kitchen/sitting room. Need to walk up 2 stories so be aware of mobility issues don't stay here.
