The hotel is in a remote location which made for a quiet night. There was a restaurant in the hotel but I didn’t know that so we ate in the nearby town. There was lots of free parking. I was surprised to find my room did not have a bathroom, only a sink and that the bathroom was shared. I have not shared a bathroom like that before and thought it was awkward. I figured it was probably my own mistake and as we were leaving first thing in the am, I didn’t say anything about it. The room was small but clean and the open window let in heavenly fresh air.

This is a good value hotel with basic rooms, which is perfect for exploring the local lakes. We were also able to use the washing machine and tumble dryer for 90 cents, so you can't argue with that! Buffet breakfast at 5 Euro a person is good value too. All the staff were friendly too :)

One night stay while touring area. Expedia makes me use too many words to do a review so I had to write this extra sentence

We wanted to stay in a place little outskirts of Salzburg and thus booked this Inn. The history of this hotel in the country side dates back to the 1950's when it was a farm house. It still retains the traditions of the farmhouse. The Hotel is run by a couple who works extremely hard to make the Guests as happy as possible. They make wonderful food and serve fresh beer. Overall we had a great stay here amidst the lush green surrounding. Needless to say the breakfast they serve is again a well served one with lots of options.

We only stayed 1 night. Rooms are ok, a bit small and the bathrooms are certainly dated, but everything works and the rooms have all you need. My husband got a little cold during the night but I didn't. I wonder if we could have turned the heat up to make the room warmer. The breakfast was good.

We had a very pleasant stay, with the horses right outside our room. No AC meant it was quite hot and right next to the highway meant it was a bit noisy. That said, it was a pleasant, clean room with perfectly good service.

Nice, quiet place in the countryside, with everything that was needed for an overnight stay, including a nice breakfast. Excellent, free wi-fi (not so usual over there).

This was our second short stay at Rosslwirt. It was even better than the first time (the room was nicer, with better bathroom, and had quite an interesting view to a mini "zoo"). Breakfast still exquisite, with great variety of food. Probably the only thing to pay attention to is that beds are not quite suitable for taller people (length from one end to other is about 1.90m).

Rosslwirt is a nice place to stay in Austrian village, where one can enjoy the beauty of Austrian rural area and the nature, as well as neighbouring tourist attractions such as lake Mondsee and city of Salzburg. The good things we experienced were: spacious and very clean room, excellent breakfast, free parking, WiFi working very good and friendly staff. There are few things, though, that can be improved: in the evening/night the heating seems to be turned down, and TV channels disapeared. Also no soap/shampoo provided. In total, a nice place to stay, where one can even see rabbits in the grass nearby. :)

We enjoyed our stay VERY much. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We opted for the en suite bathroom (maybe we did NOT go fully "traditional"... there was a bathroom just steps down the hallway), and it had been well maintained. Rosslwirt offers a restaurant, and the food was DELICIOUS and very affordable. Although the Menu was in German (we speak the language, so we had no problems), the Management speaks English, so having the selections explained should not be a deterrent to an enjoyable meal. Fruhstuck (breakfast) was included in the price of the room (again, "traditional") and was excellent - cereal, juice, milk, coffee/cappuccino, sliced meat, cheese, various breads and rolls, jams, yogurt, fruit cocktail, hard-boiled eggs. We will DEFINITELY visit Rosslwirt in the future.

No AC. No two twin beds that I reserved. Manager owner was Nice and friendly. Restaurant in hotel was good and reasonable, but the "smell of the farm" made it difficult to eat outside :-(. Good location of the main Hwy on the way to Vienna airport. The price itself shows not to expect much and the local "town" closes at 19:00.

First, the hotel is in a rural area, BUT we loved it because staying in it really feels like a vacation, which we were on. The roads that spawn out of the location in rural Austria provide stunning landscape views. Room was equipped with basic expected amenities. To our pleasant surprise, there was a table reserved for our room in the breakfast area, which felt good personalized experience. Overall, it's a yay!
