Had a great stay here, room was so nice, clean and had everything you could need in there as well, we actually ended up extending our stay as well. There was also a number you could text for anything you needed as well and they responded really quickly. Will deffo stay here anytime I’m in Manchester again!

Staff were excellent, friendly and courteous. Location also good and underground parking was very useful (though the roofs are low so watch your boot lid when you open it. The Penthouse apartment (706) was ok but pretty shabby for the price. Tables and chests of drawers were severely water stained. Floor needs lacquering, towel rail in one of the bathrooms didn’t work, walls were scuffed and generally it just felt uncared for and in need of sprucing up - then it would be worth the money. Would I stay again , yes. But I’d try a different room.

Booked a double room, got a double room. Double rooms at this property do not have outside windows which was not explained anywhere on hotels.com. Not ideal when suffering from claustrophobia. Hotel was fully booked so could not offer anything else. Had to check out and book another hotel. Can't get a refund.

Well located, spacious and clean. The only downsides were than the apartment was set up for 2, not 3. There were only 2 towels. Also the apartment was adjoined to another room, so we could hear their music through the adjoining door. This wasn't a problem in the bedroom, but the extra bed was set up in the living area. We informed reception and they asked the adjoining room to turn the music down, so was sorted, but not ideal for us, or the guests who were just trying to have a good time.

I booked a stay in one of the ‘premier studio’ rooms with were located on the ‘M’ floor which are accessible by a small stairwell directly to the left of the hotel entrance. On entering the room it does give an initial wow factor for its strange unique layout (brick ceiling, metal work) but having spent 2 nights in the room the initial wow factor becomes a lot more obvious that it’s lacking in functionality and not greatly cared for. Good things: bed was comfy and kitchen function is great. Not so good things: the room is built set back from the outdoor brick facade and so whilst there is a window, natural light is a slight problem. The lights for the room itself aren’t much better and it still felt quite dark with all of them on. We found ourselves going outside and struggling to open our eyes because it was so bright in comparison to the room. There is a gap in the wall you can open to let fresh air through, this is good but as the room is at just above street level near the station it’s quite loud. The tv had seen better days and every few frames struggled to hold the picture. Furniture is largely worn, kitchen see better days, bathroom had masking tape in areas, a towel hook which had fell off the wall and a waste water system area which was open and very loud with gushing water sounds (door wouldn’t close) wardrobe was dark and couldn’t see in it as it block out the light when it opened. Overall, lovely building, but if all the rooms are like that I wouldn’t stay again.
