The Fenwick Steak & Seafood Pub

Rooms compact but have everything you need. Checkout on the booking stated 3pm but when I arrived there was no one there and everything was locked. Check-in was actually 4pm. I was in the first room -2 - and it was next to a boiler/air conditioning unit. Very noisy and kept me awake.

Property looks in need of a refresh but the room was very good and comfortable inside. It was clean and well presented. Evening meal was excellent.

Great place to get away for the night. The food was excellent and the room was cosy. Will be going again.

Absolutely amazing stay, very clean room and spacious. Staff are wonderful and a credit to the business. Dog friendly and will definitely be back!

I’d booked this thinking it was close enough for the 3Peaks but it’s not and I may have just gone home. It’s comfortable enough breakfast was okay and the staff I met were pleasant enough.

Lovely country style rooms, clean wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

The rooms are very small .Fans are smaller than a kettle.

Was told & it states on the sheet the bars open til late it was closed for 10pm. Breakfast for £20+ was just odd bits of stuff scattered on a table won’t be staying again

Everything was perfect except check in. The property was closed and no one turned up until 4pm and nothing was asked or explained about anything. Was just asked for name.

Room was cosy and clean. Nice comfortable bed/pillows. Didnt realise that the pub shuts at 10pm. Breakfast pricing could be clearer as selected off menu and then charged set price of £13 ?

How charming! Lovely old architecture and decor, very clean and tidy, and lovely staff. Nice meal as well.

Not great. Left standing around at the reception point for 10-15 mins owing to staff shortages. Food was ok but noticed grumpy customers complaining about the standards. Batter on the fish served was too thick and undercooked which was disappointing. Staff were all friendly. Room was ok and a great shower to revive.

The staff here are incredible, so friendly and helpful. We stayed for a nearby wedding and they gave us an iron and iron board and taxi recommendations. The food also tasted amazing and was great quality, the menu isn't large but they do regularly change their specials. The room itself was nice, it was quite small but to be expected for such an old property, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom modern. Our only issue was the cleanliness. Overall it was good but there was a large amount of hair under the bed that would emerge whenever we got into bed. The other only add on would be the addition of a mini fridge. Completely understand that it's a bonus not a necessity, however the room was very hot and simply drinking water felt like it was straight from the kettle. I would recommend staying here to anyone needing to, its great value for money and served it's purpose great

Staff were amazing, room was beautiful and very well kept. Would only have to comment on the light shining through the bathroom window all night from the storage area outside, and the shower cubicle wasn't very clean (moldy grout, mold on shower fittings), but the room itself was very modern and warm. We stayed in room 9, which was dog friendly. It was located on the ground floor, right near the entrance to the pub, I was worried we would be able to hear everything going on but I can't say that we were disturbed by any of the other guests walking past the room at all! Food is VERY reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

The room was very comfortable once we had turned the heating up a bit. The shower room was big with a hot powerful shower. The only slight complaint about the room was that either the carpet had not been vacuumed or the vacuum cleaner was useless. The restaurant is very welcoming and serves excellent food.

The hotel/pub is on a main road so if your a light sleeper this might not be for you. The staff at the pub were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and cosy. Parking was easy. We were working in Lancaster the following day and this hotel was perfect for us, we both slept fine.
