Best Western Hotel Erfurt-Apfelstaedt

Very clean and safe hotel. Spacious room. Excellent shower. Booked as a solo traveller and for some reason received a (small/narrow) single person duvet on a double bed. Made sleeping very uncomfortable and cold. Hotel a la carte restaurant was closed, only a buffet available.... Was very poor quality food and also not cheap.

Logging on to wifi was difficult and not straight forward. Reception saying ok to dog in restaurant while restaurant staff says no, provided confusion.

Hotel is good and the restaurant is quite good. Not too much in the surrounding area.

A bit in the middle of nowhere, but a pleasant place for the night. Clean and good quiet location, with good breakfast for the price paid for the room. Staff could use someone who spoke English. However, perhaps it would be difficult to recruit a younger person as staff in this area. It made travel more interesting.

The hotel is ok. The only problem was - when we came it looked nobody at the reception was waiting for us. The keys were not prepared and it took hotel workers 45 minutes to give us our keys. It looked like we caused them big trouble coming to a hotel. No excuse, no explanations.

A week on business in the nearby town of Gotha. Well placed just off the main motorway to Dresden. Very comfortable room, excellent food, quite and rural. Would like to return as a tourist to see more of the area

Nice location. If driving to Erfurt, drive to park and ride at Messe and ride trams.

Perfect out of the way place to stay. Staff was friendly, rooms nice, food was very good and parking was great.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even providing Google Maps printouts to the local castle that can be seen just across the motorway, Room was a bit dated and tired but quite comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast quite good with lots of voice including sausages, bacon, cold meats, cheeses, and lots of different corals. Not much do in the vicinity and decided to drive to a nearby town for dinner. Hard to find. Place that's open. Hotel does have. Restaurant but it was buffet so not something we wanted....

This is an excellent hotel of great value for money. As we were visiting friends locally we did not have dinner either evening of our 2 night stay but lunch on the second day was of highest standard and on a par with that of first class hotels. Great choice for breakfast.

We had a very nice room, it could not have been better. Food was excellent and the wait staff were just great. Had dinner there as well.

We only used the Hotel as an overnight stopover, but found it to be as expected. The evening meal in the restaurant was first class and the service matched this. My only criticism would be that we were put into a room used previously by smokers, as we are both non-smokers, this caused some discomfort. We were unaware that we could have requested a non-smoking room on booking, since smoking is generally not allowed in rooms in hotels in the UK.

If you are traveling by car this is a good alterative to city dwelling. Very friendly staff, excellent food at reasonable prices, east access to major route to Erfurt and surrounding locations. Room comfortable, only downside is charge for hotel internet access.

Hotel wird modernisiert. Zimmer bereits modern und Frühstücksraum ebenfalls. Frühstück war ausreichend und hochwertig.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt und eine angenehme Nacht. Dass Frühstück ist gut, allerdings kann man es nicht als "großes Buffet" bezeichnen.

Wenn man an der Rezeption ankommen, steht dort ein Rezeptionistin, die schwer erkältet ist und Ihre Bakterien verbreitet. Wir haben zweimal im Restaurant gegessen und beide Male wollten wir unser Fleisch medium gebraten. Aber anscheinend hat der Koch keine Ahnung was „medium“ bedeutet, beide Male kommt ein halbes rohes Stück Fleisch heraus - Aber am letzten Tag gab es eine kostenlose Tasse Kaffee.. Großartig! Und es ist wichtig, das Schild an die Tür zu hängen, wenn Sie möchten, dass Ihr Zimmer gereinigt wird. Leider steht dort nicht, dass Sie das Schild bitte an die Tür hängen sollen, wenn Sie KEINE Reinigung Ihres Zimmers wünschen.. Warum voll nicht?!!. Und Sie müssen Deutsch lesen können, da das Hotel sich entschieden hat, den Text nicht auf Englisch zu verfassen! Das gleiche Szenario wiederholte sich beim Auschecken. Nun gab es noch eine andere Rezeptionistin mit einer schweren Erkältung, die, um zu sehen, ob sie die Gäste möglicherweise anstecken könnte, bevor sie weiterzogen sind.
