Terrible Experience with Travelio X Traveloka I had a very unpleasant and stressful experience using the Travelio app, and I feel it’s important to share my story to help other users be more cautious before booking through this platform. The first problem started during the check-in process. I was expecting a smooth and easy check-in, like what other similar platforms usually provide. However, with Travelio, it was extremely complicated and time-consuming. The process involved too much coordination with different people, unclear instructions, and a lot of waiting. It felt very disorganized and frustrating from the start. Then things got even worse. The room boy assigned to assist us was completely unprofessional and dishonest. He made us wait for more than two hours, and we kept asking for updates, but there was no clear communication. He simply didn’t show up on time and offered no apology or proper explanation for the delay. This disrupted our schedule badly. What upset us even more was the issue with the security deposit. I had already paid the required deposit through the mobile app. Everything was shown as confirmed on my phone. But when my husband met the room boy, he was told that the deposit hadn’t been paid, and was asked to pay it again in cash. Out of confusion and urgency, he paid it. So we ended up paying double the deposit, which is not acceptable at all. There was no quick solution from Travelio, no refund, and no clear support on this matter. The check-out process was just as chaotic. We were ready to check out at 10 AM, but had to wait until after 12 PM for someone to come. We kept receiving vague messages like “on the way” or “soon,” but no one showed up for a long time. We were in a hurry because we had other transportation to catch, and this delay almost ruined our travel plans. Overall, the entire experience felt like a mess.
