We enjoy the 8-night stay in this OMO3 Kyoto Toji hotel. It is a cozy one give tranquil vibe. Easy walk from the hotel to Kyoto JR station for our extensive excursions through out. Just within 4 mins walk to the nearby huge Aeon shopping arcade which can satisfied our local delicacy and Japanese made clothings / accessories shopping needs. The design of the hotel room, the temperature of the room is comfortable and suit tourist's needs. Amenities inside the room is enough for our stay. Overall cleaniness is top of the same tier!

Great hotel and very Zen, close to a number of transport hubs which is handy to get around Kyoto. Not too many places to eat nearby however the hotel has a great bar and snacks so makes up in that area! Highly recommend it!!

The booked room had a terrible smell, as other reviewers have noted. We asked reception to change us to another, which they kindly did. However the same horrible smell was present throughout our stay. The odor is hard to describe. A mixture of sweat, cigarette smoke and old carpet all-in-one that gets you everytime you walked into the room. In contrast, the ground floor lobby area smelled fine and became our refuge throughout the evenings until it was time to go sleep. All in all, quite disappointed with the room quality. Not worth the money. Also quite surprised that the hotel didn't have a formal restaurant, just a self-serve amenities area.

Horrible. Do not stay. As a frequent traveller and after staying in hundreds of hotels globally and in Japan, this was by far the worst. First, the bathrooms are super small, like, really small. Zero space to place your things. Then, they do not clean your room, and this is part of their "green"policy. Then, the rooms have zero view. A small tiny window that is blurred and can barely open. Also, if you travel with kids this will not consider your kids and hence not provide separate beds or else. Service was inexistant, spoke little english I asked for extra pillows and they told me they do not have any. Feels like a hostel. Shame on you Hoshino!
