Beautiful hotel with AMAZING STAFF! They begin with a lovely cup of tea on check in, and Romano was SO fast at bringing my bags up to my room! Even though I came in during the rain, AND peak busy check in time. Romano was hustling between drying the floors so nobody slipped, greeting clients, hauling bags, etc. Here’s the AMAZING part: when I checked out I accidentally left my carry on in the room! It had EVERYTHING in it: jewelry, medications, all my chargers, my tablet-basically my whole life: Romano REMEMBERED I was taking the train to Queenstown, and he jumped in the car and drove all the way to the station to catch me and return my bag!!! I was in TEARS of joy and relief! What an absolute ANGEL!

Check in was for 2:00 pm and the room wasn’t ready until 4:00 pm. The next day, the room wasn’t serviced until after 3:30 pm. Outside our room, another rooms dirty room service plates sat on the floor for a full 24 hours. Staff at the front desk sit behind one way glass, so you stand at the desk with no one there until someone decides so come out. Fail.

Lovely hotel in downtown Dunedin. Large and very comfortable room - thoughtfully designed. Staff were extremely helpful. Bar/restaurant is great with good food in lovely atmosphere. Make a reservation as very popular. Would definitely stay again.
