Mohenic Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

The hotel is conveniently located for shopping and dining. I also like that everyday the staff is cleaning our room and restocking our supplies. The front desk staff were very helpful. The only negative thing that I like to mention is the poorly constructed bath tub. It’s flooding the washroom each time we take a shower. But overall, we had a nice stay!

Everything was great, especially the location. However, the AC did not work. Thank goodness they provided a fan! Other than the AC situation, all was great! If you want to stay here, keep in mind that the building is run by two hotels (Migliore and Mohenic). We stayed at both as we extended our stay. We prefer the Migliore and will definitely stay there for our future trips.

I liked the way the employees treated me. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work. Everything else was fine.

Terrible hotel, poorly cleaned, if there was any dirt on the floor, it was there. One day they didn't put any towels and the next they didn't even clean the room and I had to ask for towels, they looked at me as if I was stealing those old towels. The walls were very thin and the cluelessly people in the next room (this is not the hotel's fault) were screaming all night. But there are good points like the location, close to everything,

Close to station

Location is the only thing that makes it worth, Myeong Dong busiest street, lots of shopping till late. Perfect for jet lag travelers.

Location The hotel is conveniently located next to Olive Young, near Myeongdong Station exits 5 and 6. For accessibility and convenience, the location is excellent. One drawback is the elevator—it tends to be crowded, and you may need to wait through several rounds before getting in. An alternative is to use the elevator just outside Olive Young, which is often less crowded. 2. Room Condition and Amenities The room interior appears outdated, with a design that seems over 30 years old. The toilet was clean, but the bed was not. One of the rooms had bed bugs, and the carpet had not been vacuumed. Two rooms were booked—one on the 16th floor with wooden flooring and a more modern look, and another on the 10th floor with carpet. The 16th-floor room also had cleanliness issues. The trash was not emptied, and the bed sheets were not changed during the stay—lipstick stains noticed on day one remained until day six. 3. Housekeeping Housekeeping was inconsistent. Basic cleaning tasks like trash removal and sheet changes were not carried out. Bed bugs were present in one room, causing visible bites. If staying here, consider bringing an extra layer of bedding as a precaution. Cleanliness rating: 0/5. 4. General Observations The hotel is functional but has maintenance and cleanline

Lift and entrance very confusing

We got the Family Room with 3 beds. It’s clean and a great stay for a decent rate. We are mostly out walking the busy streets of Myeongdong so I can only say that it was a comfortable stay with coffee in the morning and lots of Space for a luggage. We had a decent tub and amenities like slippers. Just follow their website on how to find the 17th floor Maintenance Elevator. It’s the main door next to the BUS stop, not the no.6 subway Exit. Look for Mohenic Sign and find the room ‘lobby.’ It’s true they’re sharing the rooms with another hotel name /owner

The AC wasnt working at all. The room was really hot

The staff was very kind during our stay. Room was cleaned daily. Beds were comfortable. It does get warm as there is no a/c you can control inside the room. Theres a fan and you can open the windows. For early june it wasnt so bad. It was around 25c inside the room.

Location, price, service were great!

The property is old and tired. Blowing air at 25 degrees is not air conditioning, and the lighting was uncontrollable.

Front desk was very helpful, service guy was good when the toilet flash is not working, he attended to us immediately. Room is clean. The only confusing part is the reception that is on the 17th floor.

The property located right next to subway station exit. The building is shared with another hotel. This hotel is located in the inside this another hotel and it shows up in random rooms only. The room is very dated and lacking of facilities. Inside the room is hot and has no thermostat so there is no control to the room temperature. The hotel left you with a short floor fan and two tiny windows for air circulation. There was only one location inside this room for a wall plug, not only it does not offer international adapter, it is also far from the bed. TV has very limited channel options and I was not able to find any channel in English. They also offer two clothes hangers inside this two win beds room which is ridiculous. There also a mosquito inside the room when I first arrived. This hotel definitely can not bring me back even though it a great location and nice city view. I do not recommend it.

Great location

Great location walking distant to night market

Recommended for easy acces and convenient transportation. Walking distance to shopping stalls , malls, resto and night market and some tourist spots. I will stay here again.

The hotel was pretty confusing at first because it’s the same building as Migliore Hotel. Overall, the location is great. It’s literally just few steps from the subway station, Myeongdong underground mall and Myeong-dong street. Keep in mind that the elevator sometimes takes few minutes wait because it’s shared by 2 hotels. Few steps from restaurants, shopping, and convenience stores. And on the lobby, there’s a currency exchange with good rates. That’s where I exchanged my CAN dollars cash to KRW won. PS. There’s a WOWPASS machine in 3rd floor (Migliore Hotel reception desk).

It was weird. There is a single large building with another hotels name on it ( Migliore ). Inside the hotel by the elevator it says for mohenic hotel lobby take the service elevator to the 17th floor. Some of the rooms have a mohenic logo on them while most have a Migliore logo. Once checked in you can use any elevator with the key. Just checking was weird. Had issues with the wifi. But maintenance came out and resolved it. The check-in experience was 2 star but the room was 3 stars and all good
