Room was spotless and cleaned everyday by lovely staff. Breakfast was great everyday (but on the last day had to pre-order which was strange). Excellent location Shared terrace with brilliant views, and the opportunity to meet up with the other guests for drinks.(bring your own) Bar and cafe not open which was unexpected.

Parking not a problem No hot water at basin or for shower which is unacceptable for basic needs Bathroom needs updated, loose towel rail, heated towel rail not working when switched on, poor plasterwork at shower door, single beds for married couple ? The roof terrace would benefit from sun beds rather than sofas and armchairs so that’s guests could properly sunbathe there Otherwise staff were helpful and very pleasant but the issues raised require urgent attention

Garahotel hotel is a very friendly hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The two roof terraces are fantastic for reading, sunbathing or having sun/downers overlooking the rock pools and ever-changing sea beyond. The hotel has a great location with many super cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms are simply furnished and comfortable and the buffet breakfast sets you up well for a day of exploring the beautiful north coast of Tenerife.

I spent 3 nights at Garahotel in the pretty town of Garachico. It’s a beautiful hotel in a well preserved historical building in the heart of the Centro Historico. I was given a nice upstairs room facing the sea, although it couldn’t really be called a sea view. It was a comfortable room, although I found the bed and the pillows too firm for my liking. Annoyingly, they provide a kettle and mug but no tea/coffee. I mentioned it to Miguel and he said I could buy coffee from them! In the bathroom, I found the shower a bit weird. It was more like a pressure washer, ie I got sprayed really hard, but never really felt wet! It seemed like the actual shower head was missing. Breakfast in the downstairs courtyard was enough without being exceptional. On my last morning I discovered that you could also order eggs, bacon etc as well as help yourself to buffet items, but when I was asked for my room number, I suspected there may be an extra charge. I wasn’t given a bill when I checked out, however but - like a number of things - this was never explained to me. There’s a bar in the breakfast area), a terrace on the first floor (near my room, 11) which is nice for having a sunset drink, and a great but small sun terrace with 2 loungers on the roof. Sonia is an excellent host, smiley and engaging. She makes the place tick. On the other hand, I found her husband Miguel a bit cold. I don’t think hospitality comes naturally to him. I felt like I was putting him out.

This hotel is in the centre of Garachico, so handy for everything. The welcome we revived was so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel itself is full of history. We absolutely loved staying here and would recommend it wholeheartedly. We will definitely be back. Beautiful place to stay in Garachico!

Garahotel was nice, but my expectations were high given the great reviews. I think it is just a fine hotel, not an exceptional one. We were comfortable, but there were some serious drawbacks. Most annoying was the internet, which did not work well at all. We stayed in the "ocean view" room, which it turns out is right on a major highway. Even with the windows closed, which they advised us to do for the noise, we heard highway traffic from our room all day and night. The breakfast was not very good at all - packaged pastries, meat and cheese slices, and watery coffee. You have to pay extra to get a hot breakfast (bacon and eggs). Given the super high ratings and the relatively high price, I expected more from this hotel. I would not stay here again if I were in the area.

Amazing property. Right on the beach, near the restaurants and natural pools. The owners are super accommodating and welcoming. They also serve a delicious breakfast every morning. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Garachico!!

Good place to stay for 3 days to explore Garachico and experience the local cuisine. Owners & staff very friendly and the hotel is in a great location.

The hotel is clean and has a great location. Only downside is the breakfast. Really bad coffee and the owner is Italian. Breakfast also not great but passable.

Small peaceful hotel right next to the sea. Incredibly friendly helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Lovely touches in the room - complimentary bowl of fruit on arrival, chocolate on each bedside table, fresh bottled water every day and a surprise half bottle of cava in the fridge. Sun terrace and solarium overlooking the sea, from which you can also see the stars. We had a seaview room, the only downside of which is that it's next to a small but main road so you can hear traffic noise as well as the waves. Highly recommended for couples wanting to get away from it all.

Wonderful personal hotel. Excellent location. Owners Sonja and Miguel always available . Hotel spotless. Fabulous terraces overlooking the sea. Spacious rooms with comfy beds. Great selection for breakfast.Guests are made to feel special in this small family run hotel. Would definitely recommend!

A lovely small hotel near the sea. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional house with a courtyard and terraces. The staff are all extremely helpful. The only slight negative was that breakfast could have more choice but I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January. We had a double room on top floor with sea view (no 10) which I would recommend if you like to hear the sound of the sea...you can unfortunately here the sound of the traffic as well but this dies down by bed time. The hotel staff and owners were pleasant and helpful, the accommodation clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast satisfying. We used the sauna and jacuzzi which is all very good. The location is excellent and the rock pools in the sea to be recommended. Garachico though busy in the day seems fairly quiet in the evening but all in all a nice hotel in a nice place.

The hotel staff is very welcoming. The hotel is relatively small, has a local flavor, is very well maintained and very nice. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of food. The hotel room is not large, but it is confortable. Location is great, across from the town`s beach and pool. There are many restaurants close by. Overall this hotel has everything that you should expect from a local hotel.
